The one and only Bombshell Betty (@bombshell.betty.car) at Speed Week 2026.

I’ve been sitting on my photos from Speed Week 2026 for a few weeks now, coming back them then and trying to figuring out split them up and how to share them in meaningful sets. Of course, the place to start is obvious - the Queen of the Salt herself!

This Bonneville Speed Week I brought the longest zoom lens I have and spent some time sitting around mile 2 in the spectator area trying to capture some action at speed rather just from the starting area.

Even with a 600mm equivalent focal length these are heavily cropped. I’m still happy with the results though.

I don’t know if a meet during the middle of the day during Texas summer could be called “chill” but the @tough_enuff Second Sundays meet at @the_grackle is definitely a relaxed one. It’s great to sit in the shade and catch up with some short bursts of taking photos in the sun.
