Celebrating the incredible 40-year journey of Professor Joe Nellis CBE at Cranfield, we’re excited to announce a new MBA scholarship fund.

During his time with us, Joe has made a huge contribution to the University in numerous roles including Director of the School of Management, Academic Dean and Pro-Vice-Chancellor.

Pictured are nostalgic glimpses of our campus in the 80s when he first started teaching, as well as running the London Marathon with MBA students. 🙌

What a brilliant start to the new academic year! ✨

An autumnal day on campus saw us welcome our new students across the Transformation MBA, Logistics and Supply Chain, Strategic Marketing and Management MSc programmes.

Across each programme, students took part in interactive sessions, connecting with peers, hearing from alumni and sharing ideas as they began building their networks.

What if aviation had to reach net zero sooner than you think?

The UK is targeting net zero aviation by 2050.

There won't be one solution. Meeting these ambitions will require new fuels, aircraft systems, infrastructure, clean technologies and new approaches to airport operations.

How do we develop, test and demonstrate what works?

At Cranfield, we already have the infrastructure and environment to accelerate aviation R&D, including facilities for testing hydrogen fuel systems, renewable energy technologies, alongside demonstrations of hydrogen-powered vehicles for airports.

With our own airport, research aircraft and air traffic control, we can take aviation research beyond the laboratory and test technologies and systems in a real-world environment.

Because the future of aviation needs to be tested in the real world.

What if... you could close your skills gap?

Most organisations can name the person they would promote if that person were ready. Getting them ready is the hard part.

Cranfield has been developing leaders since 1946, and works with close to 1,500 partner organisations across finance, energy, consultancy, aerospace, food and personal care.

The Financial Times Executive Education 2026 ranking placed our executive education among the best in the world for both open and customised programmes.

Programmes run at every level of seniority, from first-time managers to boards and non-executive directors, either as open programmes people join individually or designed around one organisation’s strategy.

A classroom with its own runway.

The Saab 340B is a flying laboratory. Flight data streams to tablets mounted in the headrests, so you see the data while you feel it happen.

Up to 2,000 students a year gain flight test experience on it, from Cranfield and more than 20 other universities. It takes off from our own airport, a few minutes from the lecture theatres.
