This month’s Photowalk will be on Sunday, April 26th, from 1-3pm. The Mandalay Canal is a unique attraction for North Texas. Part of the Las Colinas Urban Center it is inspired by the Canals of Venice. The area contains several restaurants as well as gondola tours, paddle board and kayak rentals. With easy access to Lake Carolyn. If you’ve never been aware of this area please join us and experience it through your favorite viewfinder. We will meet at the base of the stairs at the Mandalay Canal Entrance (215 Mandalay Canal, Irving, TX 76039). Take the stairs on the east side of the canal, Tower 2 Side, and we’ll gather at the landing at the base of the stairs. We will walk along the east side canal to Lake Carolyn, then cross over and return to our starting area by way of the west side of the canal. Parking is available at street level and there is additional parking in the Tower Two Garage. We have a few different cameras available to try if you’ve never used instant film, or are looking to try a different model/format. Film and cameras are limited. Bring your kids, family, friends and your camera to experience this hidden gem of North Texas. by @crausmus

Great turnout for Second Saturday @theamoncarter. We took a tour of the Avedon work currently hanging. Such an amazing study of the people of the American West in the early 80’s. I keep hoping one day they will hang all 124 images from the original showing. They are reprinting the softcover book that contains all the images for the 40th Anniversary, so perhaps for the 50th Anniversary…? Hint, Hint, Nudge, Nudge… Thanks everyone who came out. I had so much fun reconnecting with y’all. by @crausmus
