Life is so beautiful. I’ve carried a lot of anxiety about showing up on this app not just as an organizer, but as a full person. But I’m slowly learning to share more of myself, beyond just the work I do for Bliss Sundays. I plan on posting so much more ✨

These posts are little archives of joy, of presence, of choosing to live fully, I hope you can feel that through the screen, because my heart is so full right now. ❤️

Dallas! Thank you for showing us a good time! We brought 30+ @blissxsundays community on a road trip to Dallas. Being community organizers is far from easy but yall make it so worth it. A few months ago, we pivoted from flying to NYC and ended up in South Florida instead. After hours on the phone with Spirit (RIP 😭), I finally got the flight change down to a rate I could live with.

We stayed in Hollywood at the CUTEST Airbnb with pickleball + tennis courts right across the street. We explored, ate, vibed, hit the beach, went to an Unrivaled game, and saw all our faves including Courtney’s daddy… iykyk 😂

I got to catch up with my old roomie from the Disney College Program and spend time with my cousins who recently moved there. We ate Haitian food, had crab claws, answered emails from the beach, and my wife was cool with us kayaking in the ocean looking for dolphins. 🐬

I also went to this yoga + sound bath class that felt perfectly timed for the trip. Grounding, restorative, and exactly the kind of reset I didn’t realize I needed.

I’m hella grateful to keep the adventure alive and to keep choosing experiences that pour back into us. The older I get, the more I realize how necessary it is to honor the water + earth sign need for nature, softness, good food, deep connection, and being close to the water. 🌊✨

There’s something healing about slowing down long enough to watch the ocean, laugh with your people, feel the sun on your skin, and remember that life is happening right now not just in the hustle, emails, or next deadline. First HYROX Complete. 💪🏾🏁

Committing to your fitness through the movement and chaos of life is HARD. At the end of 2024, I had fallen off… again. I told myself that once January 15, 2025 hit, I was back in that gym and this time, I meant it.

I honored that promise to myself. I learned what it looked like to vulnerably lean into my community for support and took on the challenge of making myself stronger and building muscle mass. I told myself yes even when I didn’t feel like it.

I’m grateful for all those moments where I pushed myself to the limit. And honestly? It was mainly just me and that Ladder App. That journey was personal.

I’ve been on many different fitness and body journeys, and none of them have looked the same. But one thing I’ve learned is this: you can have 100,000 Day 1s it doesn’t matter. If you’re still here, you still have time to choose yourself.

Here we are in 2026, and I completed my first HYROX with three special people in my life & all of whom have played meaningful roles in my fitness journey.

My wife for supporting me, working out with me, committing to her own wellness lifestyle, still loving me when I honored the “not today” days, and being okay with all the extra laundry 😂

Maya, my YN for our gym dates whenever we could make them happen, for training me and helping me get stronger, and for being the person I could text about what I was eating or where I was lacking. A truly transformative relationship.

And Tay the person who has known me the longest, who I’ve watched commit to her fitness on inspiring levels. It’s wild how life comes full circle.

I’m already excited to do another HYROX and really turn it up a notch. I see why people do this multiple times. Maybe I’ll catch one in another country… who knows? 👀

I will say this there was something special about Houston. People were saying it was the most Black representation they’ve ever seen in this programming. And that is SPECIAL.

And if you ever wondered why this city has been capturing the hearts of so many… this is part of the reason.
