Resilience: the capacity to bounce back, recover quickly, and adapt well in the face of hardship, stress, or major life changes. This weekend working with the Army’s National Guard I have never been pushed harder, discovering a new version of myself I didn’t know existed, and learning to fight during a fight or flight situation. Working with Drill Sergent Pryce and many others have made the passion and fire I have for the military let alone aviation multiple by 1000. The 100 yards, the obstacles courses, the phases, learning ranks, discovering cadence, and getting a life check to see what basic training is really like has made this weekend unforgettable. Having the option to quit but never giving up for myself and for my team made me more resilient than ever before. Being the youngest person and jumping into something I have no experience in, being yelled at by my sergeants, and still pushing myself an others even when we couldn’t breathe signified the resilience and dedication I have towards myself even when no one was watching. Working so hard to get to where I am today, I am beyond blessed for this opportunity and so grateful for the people I met that feel like family, I’ll see you next month Camp Fogarty. by @cray_kels
