Lyrics Crazeski. Production: @craegenics A track charting the journey some of my family, who came from the Caribbean, and although they were invited over to what they perceived as the "motherland", the reality for a lot of people who embarked on this journey was extreme xenophobia. They found camaraderie with fellow Irish and South Asian travellers that experienced a similar reaction. As could be witnessed by the Signs on windows and doors boldly stating: No Blacks, No Irish, No Dogs! In the 1950s, many Caribbean people viewed Britain as their "motherland" and came to the UK seeking economic opportunities and better lives. This migration was part of the Windrush generation, a time when Britain, still recovering from World War II, needed workers to rebuild and fill various roles. by @crazeski
