I hope everyone had a great Love Day here are a few things I made to celebrate the holiday 💗

Any chance I have a reason to buy a book..I do! Anyone else obsessed with buying books? @ladygracebyers this book is AWESOME so encouraging for little people especially of color 🤎🖤 #AddToYourLibrary

I made Z a Valentine’s Placemat for breakfast and since he’s 3 I listed three things I love about him 💗

The same cookie cutter I used for Z’s PB&J I used to help trace the perfect heart for Z to make Valentine cards! Cookie cutters can be used for more than making cookies!

Lastly I made my favorite thing to make..Pancake Board! I dyed my batter pink and red — made X and O shaped pancakes. Pair your pancakes with chocolate chips, sprinkles for your occasion, strawberries (or your choice of fruit), and whipped cream 😋

We finished the day with a Heart Scavenger Hunt & Candy Lane..did I already say how much I love holidays 🥰

It’s been a holiday ago since I’ve been able to post but I’m back with some cute ideas to help make Love Day special for your little Valentine ♥️

If your little is anything like mine their go to favorite for lunch is PB&J without the crust 😅 Cookie cutters have duo use and make for great ways to make that PB&J festive + fun!

I love the holidays, if you haven’t noticed..I saw a post from @blackgirlswhoblog featuring @occasions.byshakira #occasionsbin I thought it was the cutest idea to enhance the holidays for the entire family! So here’s my version of the Occasion Bin..It’s the little things that make us happy 🥰

ELF is BACK! He fits so well into our family..he’s always late too! 🤪

Looking for a quick and easy “Sensory Activity” for your Little?

I created this Letter Hide and Seek Sensory Bin for Z. Takes less than 5 minutes to put together and the best part is you can use things around your house to make it.

For my bin I used a Storage Food Container you can find one this size at the @dollartree if you don’t already have one.

I wanted to teach Letter Recognition and Colors so I picked these Colored Wooden Letters that I took from one of Z’s puzzles as my items to hide.

I took 2 Bags of Beans that I found in my pantry to help hide my letters
(I brought these beans in the beginning of the pandemic and still haven’t cooked them so I used them for this instead 😅)

To pick up the letters I wanted to make it challenging for Z while improving his Fine Motor Skills by giving him a Easy Grip Tweezer to use, I found this one at @theteachmestore! Or just allow your little to use their hands. But if your looking for a challenge but don’t have Easy Grip Tweezers a good alternative can be the use of Tongs.

I used a mini trash can for him to place the letters he found, you can use any container that you have to get the same results!

I love pairing activities with books, if you decide to hide letters in your Sensory Bin like I did..here’s a great book to read with your little, it’s filled with bright colors of Letters who journey up and down a coconut tree:

Afterwards, I asked Z what he was Thankful for and we made a “Thankful Board.”

I love holidays, it’s the perfect time to do fun activities and this week I’m doing Fall & Thanksgiving activities with Z! This “Fall Tree” activity is super easy to do and doesn’t cost much to make!

Although this is an arts and craft activity it also serves as a great way to teach COUNTING! — SWIPE to the next video to watch Z count his leaves 🍁

Fall Tree Supplies:
Brown construction paper
White construction paper
Scissors
Glue
Felt Leaves

Do you know the Muffin Man? 🧑🏾‍🍳

One of our favorite things to do is bake together — Introduce your little one to easy baking to allow them to explore the fun of cooking!

Reasons to cook with your little:
• It’s a great Sensory Activity
• Helps develop Motor Skills
• Helps them with Following Directions
• It’s never too early to develop Math Skills. Allow them to help with measuring, time that it will take to bake and COUNT how much they’re making
• Increase their Vocabulary
• Enhances their Creativity
• Learn how to Cook

On rainy days we play BINGO!

I was looking for “games” for toddlers and I found this Vehicle Bingo at @dollartree it comes with two boards and two dry erase markers.

Little people sometimes have a hard time sitting still, playing games can help improve their concentration. This is also a great way to teach about the different type of vehicles!

To make it more fun for your little one pair it with actual rubber vehicles for them to use for covering their spaces. I got these at @theteachmestore for .25 each 🚂

I paid a total of $2.25! But the best part is learning while having fun!
