Backstory : When I started my job at Netflix I still lived in NJ. Far from LA and the rest of my team. I made my living room wall my brainstorm space covering it with concept ideas, some half thought out, most just a working title name, knowing there was something more there if I spent time on it.

When I moved to LA, I grabbed the whole wall of notes and stuffed it in my journal. I never really unpacked it again once I connected with my team IRL.

Our trophies came in the mail the other day. It motivated me to unpack boxes, find my idea wall and remind myself of the importance of putting your vision where you can see it .

Write it out. Say it out loud. Affirming and speaking life into ideas is as much a part of the process as the tangible work.

Was happy to receive the Webby trophies for Strong Black Lens but equally happy about finding the notes, and I’m right back to constructing a new idea wall for the next chapter.

Write out the big vision.— even if it fits on a Post-it 📝 ✨
