✨Intro part 2✨
I’m Aileen a hairstylist located in Austin but I’m originally from Deep South Texas. Puro pinche 956!! I’ve called Austin home for 3 years and counting. I completed a high school cosmetology program in 2015 a couple weeks after graduating and got my license that July.

Since moving to Austin I’ve built relationships with people who all share the core value of living unapologetically as their true authentic selves. Through those relationships and my first hand experience, I’ve learned how wellness impacts our daily lives/ relationships which was the driving force in getting back into the beauty industry.

Before returning to hairstyling I was a young professional where I ended my 6 years with Planned Parenthood Texas Votes as the Training Coordinator. You can still find me volunteering in abortion funding/ access organizations where I sit on boards of directors and bake treats for annual abortion fundraising too. In my off time, you can find me enjoying Austin DIY music, sun bathing, tending to my plants, or running around with my Dalmatian Lili. Anywhere I am, I’m creating beauty in community. by @createdbyaileen

✨Intro part 3✨
I will give anything and everything a shot before I decide it doesn’t work for me. With that said I take pride in all my work!

Where I find the most joy is the following:
* Creative/ alternative cuts
* Creative/ alternative color
* Lived in vivid color/ blondes
* Red color transformations
* Barber cuts/ fades/ beard trims
* Curly cuts and styling
* Bouncy blowouts
* Curly-top/ boy perms
* Scalp care

If you have any questions or wanna talk through your ideas and hair goals book a consultation or send me your questions via DM. It also never hurts to book a wash/ blowdry or a haircut/ blow dry to let me get a closer look at your hair and a plan of action for the journey to get your hair goals.

Thank you for reading more about me and I hope I get to work with you soon! by @createdbyaileen

Shout of to the moms in the chat who’ve trusted me with their big chops!

Have you ever seen someone meant to rock a bob?!

Megan came in with the idea of a dreamy, cute bob and let me create this masterpiece!! I enjoyed creating this one-length bob that was a nice challenge to break up the day.

She also left the sweetest review!
“5 stars for the overall vibe and how kind everyone was but 5 stars especially for Aileen!
She gave me one of my favorite bob cuts ever!
So precise, so much attention to detail. She really took time with me at the beginning to talk about the cut I want and what she’d do to make that happen so I really understood the mechanics of it all. She’s also fun to chat with.
Go see Aileen, I can’t recommend her enough!”

I’ve still got time before the literal end of the year for any transformative or maintenance cuts and colors. Call Shag Salon or send me a DM for my availability 🥰
