A LABOR OF LOVE ❤️💕

Honestly I cant believe what we pulled off. With the help of our family and friends, they REALLY pulled it together for us especially the day of!!! And our awesome vendors gave our guests a great experience 🎉

This was our super bowl. It was an intense year of planning and work. And it was amazing to have these memories right in our backyard.

We had crazy wind the morning of the wedding and lost decor, had to do away with table settings. Flowers were blowing everywhere. But no one noticed all these things that were "missing". Its inevitable that things will go wrong. Our friends, family and vendors sprung into action to make it all work and we are so grateful for them ❤️❤️❤️

Its easy to get lost in aiming for polish and perfection when planning a wedding, but try to bring the focus back to what the day truly is about. Its not going to be the decor you remember 👰‍♀🤵

ONE YEAR!!!!!!! Today marks the one year anniversary of when we started this addition.

I cant believe how much we accomplished considering we did this on our free weekends.

So far weve enjoyed a few birthdays and holidays in this new dining space and its been so special to be able to!!

I always say it, but yes we have more to do.

Were spending today working on some of the final finishing touches, and theyre special!! We'll share soon!

This started off my summer projects 🤷‍♀️
Its such an eye sore but I will get it repainted!!

When I put this bed together I had no intention of painting it. And then I just couldnt stand how much it stuck out. Next time, maybe ill plan better 🙈🌱

Covered in paint because ive got several 0rojects going at once 🤷‍♀️

I thought once I left my job id have so much more time to post projects, boy was I wrong lol. Ive been busy, but trying to sneak craft time in when I can. Hopefully I can finish this one soon, its going to be a cute one!!!

Ive officially reached the bird watching portion of my life 🐦 and Im not mad at it.

Leaving my job has given me the opportunity to slow my brain down and actually see life ✨️

I am keeping this up until we have more blooms for them. I know nature is better than a feeder, but what can you do when they keep approaching you and their flowers arent bloomed yet 🥹

✨️Disclaimer with feeders: their nectar has to be changed every 2-3 days!! And the feeder has to be cleaned with warm water and then air dried. Mold can grow very easily with the nectar. So flowers are very much better for them, just holding them over for a bit!

Hopefully they dont get pissed when I remove it 🙈

Its nice to be able to really enjoy nature this summer and appreciate the simple things ☀️

This summer were making our home a SANCTUARY 🌱✨️ I want to feel peace in every corner. Our new kitchen garden is the perfect place to start since I hope to use this nearly daily.

I am all about personalization and I knew I had to add a personal touch to congratulate @wickedsoutherncoffee on their new shop ☕️.

Seeing them grow, and be such a big part of local community is inspiring ✨️ and I am grateful for the opportunity to do a little work with them. Opening a new shop is not for the faint of heart, and Kaylee you have done an amazing job, you should be so proud 👏

Work of the day: spark ✨️

Were officially stepping into the unknown and trusting that things will work themselves out. What a scary thing, but I am trying to find the excitement in that!

Im super grateful to have found a really supportive partner, this would not be possible without him right now.

Its important to me that before I start the next thing, im all in and in a good head space for it. We spend so many hours at work, i think its critical to really enjoy it and constantly be learning. Otherwise, we get stale and end up on autopilot. Life is too short for that!!!
