I’m Andrea— founder of Create Your Life Co.

I’m 45, remarried, mum to twin girls, co-parenting, navigating perimenopause, living with multiple sclerosis… and yes, still biting my nails. 😂

CYL is a personal development space for women who want to create lives that feel aligned with who they are now — not simply who they’ve been expected to be.

My background spans coaching, mindset development and career coaching, with a focus on values, limiting beliefs, confidence, behavioural patterns and creating meaningful change.

I’m especially passionate about helping women navigate transition, reconnect with their identity and make intentional choices about what comes next.

That’s the heart of CYL:

✨ A new chapter. A fresh start. ✨

A few days ago, I turned 45.

Birthdays have become less about celebrating another year and more about asking myself one important question...

Am I living a life that truly aligns with who I am?

That question has changed everything.

When I first created Create Your Life, my focus was supporting women through separation and divorce. That mission will always be close to my heart because I know how deeply those experiences can reshape us.

But over time, I realised something...

We don't only lose ourselves through divorce.

Sometimes it's motherhood. Sometimes it's our careers. Sometimes it's caring for everyone else. Sometimes it's simply the busyness of life.

One day we wake up and quietly wonder...

"When did I stop being me?"

That's why Create Your Life is evolving.

This space is becoming more than a page—it's a community for women who want to reconnect with who they are and create a life that feels authentic.

Everything you'll see here will be built around three simple foundations:

💛 Values – knowing what truly matters to you.

🩷 Identity – reconnecting with the person behind all the roles you play.

✨ Confidence – trusting yourself to make choices that align with the life you want.

Born in the 80s, teenager in the 90s and somehow 45 already! 😂💗

Some days I'm ready for bed at 8pm, everything aches and a quiet weekend sounds like absolute heaven.

Other days I'm 25 again, laughing, being ridiculous and wondering where the years have gone!

But here's what I've discovered...

My 40s have been the decade where I've truly started coming into my own.

More confident in who I am.
Clearer about what matters.
Less interested in seeking approval.
More intentional about how I spend my time and energy.

And far more comfortable just being ME.

I wouldn't trade the lessons, the growth or the woman I've become to be 25 again.

Although I'd happily borrow the energy! 😂

Anyone else feel like they're simultaneously 25 and 65?

A little time for me. 💗

Today’s act of self-care? A pedicure, a massage chair and a little time to simply switch off.

Nothing extravagant. Nothing complicated. Just an intentional moment for myself.

The older I get, the more I realise that protecting my peace and making time for things that bring me joy aren't luxuries. They're priorities.

Between working full-time, family life, building a business and all the everyday responsibilities, it's easy to put ourselves at the bottom of the list.

But I'm learning that self-care doesn't always need to be a big event.

Sometimes it's freshly painted toenails, a coffee, a walk or an hour where nobody needs anything from you.

Simplicity. Intention. Joy.

And absolutely no guilt for choosing yourself occasionally. 💗

A little more of Create Your Life Co. is coming to life. 🤍

I’ve been quietly working behind the scenes on a home for CYL — somewhere I can bring together the tools, resources and conversations I’ve been creating around values, identity, confidence and living with more intention.

Not about completely reinventing your life.

Not about adding another list of things you should be doing.

Just practical tools, gentle guidance and space to get clearer on what matters to you — and create more of a life that actually feels like yours.

The website is coming soon, along with free resources (including the Core Values Guide), new tools and a few things I’ve been working on that I’m really excited to share.

It’s slowly taking shape, and I’m loving seeing this little idea become something real. 🌿

Something I learned in my late 30s and early 40s that I really wish I’d understood in my late teens and 20s…

Get the nose piercing.
Get the tattoo you’ve always wanted.
Travel.

Stop waiting for everyone else to approve of the person you want to be.

And stop listening to the dream squashers.

The people who tell you, “You can’t do that.”

Sometimes they mean well. Sometimes it comes from their own fears, experiences or ideas about what life is supposed to look like.

But you don't have to make their limits yours.

Looking back, there are things I wish I’d done differently. I wish I’d travelled more. There are opportunities I didn't take because I listened to family, friends and other people's opinions about what I should or shouldn't do.

There are regrets.

There are sliding-door moments when I wonder, what if?

But I've also realised I can't go back and rewrite those chapters.

What I can do is draw a line in the sand.

For me, particularly in the years since my separation and divorce, that has meant learning that I am enough.

Seeking less approval.

Understanding my values and choosing people and experiences that align with them.

Being willing to change my mind.

Having a growth mindset instead of believing who I was yesterday has to be who I am tomorrow.

And trusting myself enough to create the life I actually want.

I can't change the choices I made at 20.

But I can choose how I live at 45.

And I choose a life by design, not default.

Especially not someone else's default.

WFH day done. Devices down. Shoes on. 💛

A quick family walk to shake off the school-holiday screen time before switching into mum-at-home mode.

Nothing complicated—just fresh air, movement and a small intentional reset. Exactly what we all needed.

Life by design doesn’t always mean making big changes. Sometimes it’s simply choosing what you need next.

What started as a space to share thoughts around values, confidence, identity and creating a life with more intention is slowly becoming something more.

I’ve spent the last few weeks pulling together years of notes, resources, exercises and ideas — simplifying them, refining them and working out what I genuinely want Create Your Life Co. to be.

And it’s starting to come together. ✨

There’ll be practical resources, free downloads, real conversations and eventually opportunities for coaching and workshops — all designed to help women get clearer on what matters to them and create a life that actually feels like theirs.

I’m building it slowly. Intentionally. And in a way that feels very CYL.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about what it actually means to create a life by design, not default.

And I keep coming back to this:

It isn't about constantly chasing the next goal, becoming a different person or completely reinventing your life.

Sometimes it starts much more quietly.

Pausing long enough to notice where you are.

Clarifying what actually matters to you now.

Reconnecting with who you are underneath the expectations, roles and noise.

Choosing what deserves your energy — and what doesn't.

And then living with a little more intention.

Pause. Clarify. Reconnect. Choose. Live.

These five steps have become the foundation of the CYL Method — and over the coming weeks, I’m going to share more about each one.

For today, maybe just ask yourself:

What is my life asking me to notice right now?

“Your life doesn’t need more pressure. It needs more intention.”

We spend so much time thinking we need to do more, achieve more, fix more.

But sometimes the answer isn’t adding more.

It’s slowing down long enough to ask: Does this actually matter to me? Does this align with the life I want to create?

Less pressure. More intention.
More living by your values, rather than simply going through the motions.

Practical Magic 2 with my preteens (11yo twins) ✨

I went in expecting a fun movie afternoon with my girls, but there was something about the message of mothers, daughters and sisters that really stayed with me.

The relationships we build with our daughters matter.

The conversations. The traditions. The ordinary afternoons together. The way we show them what it looks like to know who you are, trust yourself, love fiercely and create a life that feels like yours.

As my girls get older, I’m becoming more aware that these little moments aren’t really little at all.

Today it was popcorn, a movie and the three of us squeezed into a selfie. 💗

But it’s also another memory in the life we’re creating together.

And that feels very Life by Design, Not Default.
