I think this trip requires a 3 part post. Numero uno @sierrakendra was the queen of the jungle and I’m so grateful for 10 years of friendship and the reunions we get to share. So special celebrating you in one of the most beautiful places. To new chapters 🥂🌺

The waves keep on crashing by on me for some reason 🎶🎵 (got to go to opening night May 6th)

No doubt really expanded my mind on music and life and when I was younger Gwen’s confidence and style really told me that nothing was really off limits. It’s okay to be a Tom boy one day and a girly girl the next.

I have always loved a sassy/ semi rebellious girl who just wants to live her life but shows her emotions and can fit in with the best of them. We are all just so human and trying to make sense of love and life. Sometimes we have an audience and sometimes we are in a world of our own. No doubt really shared a lot of their story on how their music began to take off after grief and heartbreak; becoming and innocence; and exploration of the world and being taken out of your home town/comfort zone.

I’ve gotten to see a lot of bands from my childhood and middle school/highschool days but it hits so hard seeing the ones I was 8 years old listening to and being exposed to a life outside my room from their words and music. That were WOMAN💅 I never cared for having cute boys on my walls but the idols of strong woman having fun was ICONIC for a reason. This year is an ode to the woman who were divas figuring it out before me🥰❤️ sharing their confidence and charisma so I could find out who I was too. Next up Hillary Duff😍🖤

Glad I got to share this with my youngest sibling and see the domino effect of Gwen on me, then me to her. It’s crazy how much of an impact your type of music makes on how people see you but also their life and development too.🤯 taken in The Sphere by @creationandconnection

RING RING📞📳📴📵Time to ring in another year of flying. 10 YEARS ✈️💸 33 countries, 50 states, 4524 flights, 2,700,000 miles and about 8,700 hours. Still smiling in the friendly skies. There are days I don’t want to be on a plane. There are days where it’s extra hard to be up at 4 am. There are days I miss my flights when I want to travel and sleep on airport floors. There are days where passengers take their stress out on you and you on them🤣 but somehow you move on quickly and keep going and make sure that for all the reasons humans travel; you are someone they can depend on and someone I can also depend on myself. Being a flight attendant is an honor and a privilege. It’s something I’m born to do. Thanks to all my skybesties and the rest of yall being a witness to the life I get to live by making a decision to fly🤍 happy 4/20 😜 let’s see if I can make it another 10 by @creationandconnection

Curaçao taught me a lot of random new information “The more you know”. Now I know about the Caribbean a bit more. Dutch history. Coral made islands. And what some amazing peoples life’s are like. I’m a lucky girl to get to say I have now been to all 50 states 🎉 & that I have two best friends always down for a girls trip; and a one in a 2 million passenger who liked me enough to give me their house for a week whenever I wanted just because I was nice to her on her vacation. Not really sure how I was able see the majority of the US by 32 but between being a military dependent and flight attendant of almost 10 years (did all 50 states in 9 yr 10months) but not stationing myself in one place sure helped. I’d say I’m open to a life of surprises and look for open doors. Taking the ones that feel right and having the pleasure of great company along the way🤍 special shout out to the girls of Alaska I got to see as well that made the trip extra sweet and special.

It’s been almost a year and 277 hrs of dedication to body work. That doesn’t include studying and reading but actual hands on experience of becoming a healer to the community but also myself. It’s been a long time since I have felt so “in touch” with my own mind body and spirit but deeply affected and caring towards so many strangers and people who walk in the doors to the studio. It’s a great honor to work on others and help guide them to feeling peace in their daily lives.

Even if I’m stabbing them with my elbows haha their trust and the amount of gratitude for finding their pain and using my physical body to locate and relieve all I can is an experience I cannot describe. It’s a calling I didn’t know I would be good at but one I have great pride in.

It was an opportunity to take a chance on learning something new and having a small vision of what it could be for me and having faith despite not being sure that it was going to be the right fit and finding out it was.

When you find something you are good at and have complete confidence in but you also help others because it is greater than yourself; I hope everyone gets to experience that in whatever they do. I have called this my passion project but it’s an adventure and 2nd career too. It’s been amazing to find friendship and community throughout the journey as well and there is no end in sight.

Just dreaming of this backdrop😍 Seeing Yosemite for the first time is enchanting. Zion is my number one… however Yosemite has a feel that really sparks life. I think it was a unique experience for me. Definitely was at the time. I guess you’ll have to go to see what I mean ;) I loved my day there. No one else wanted to go but the older I get the more okay with doing what I want for me and no one else is an easy decision. I’m going! I love the mountains and landscapes across America. Hopefully one day I’ll make it to all the National Parks. 🤍 taken in Yosemite National Park by @creationandconnection

Katy is a dress up. Go out. Take a million photos. Wear matching clothes with friends. Blast the radio. Never say sorry. Treasure is in the eye of the beholder. Say it like you mean it. Follow your heart. Create anything and always do more of it. Experience over everything. And let’s stay up late and talk kind of girl!

9/16 I’ll be 32.

This song “Fade into you” by Mazzy Star came out the month I was born. A song of losing yourself in someone else or the world and how bittersweet those consuming connections are. Where do we start and where does it end. There were years I’m sure I didn’t know the difference. However this year it is very clear and I feel separate from most people and whole, more than I ever have. I see others as seperate and more whole than I ever have too.

I’ve faded the lines I didn’t know I crossed for the sake of just wanting to fit in after moving to 31 homes and going to 13 schools in my life time. Seeking similarities and those connection’s vs trying to find how different we all are was a consuming task and a valid one for integrating; however I think by looking for it you give some of your light away. The sacred light of you and only you that shines and you can bring.

My own path is more clear now that I can see this. Both versions of integration and energetically holding more space for me can be both true and real. And to quote Mazzy star to myself “I think it’s strange you never knew”. 💖
