It’s a busy month working on all sorts of projects and I’m just so excited to get the creative juices flowing again and feel the buzz of live theatre! 🥰 Tickets went on sale yesterday for ‘Imagination Station’, an immersive cabaret style show experience for the smallies (5-8s) that I’ve created with my wonderful friend @shauna_carrick. We’ve lots of family favs from musicals and movies in there and an original song or two! We’ll use our imaginations (and some theatre magic) to go on big adventures, singing and dancing our way through 🌴dark jungles, 🐳 deep seas, 👨‍🚀 outer space and ☁️ 🏰 ✨ magical lands. Co-produced with @dlrmillstagram who have been so generous with their space and helping us figure out how to make this a safe and fun experience for our little audience. ❤️❤️Limited tickets available for our October shows! #imaginationstation #theshowmustgoon #onsalenow #creativestarts #letsgoexplore 📷 Photography 📷 by our knight in shining armour @robkenphoto 💕 taken in dlr Mill Theatre by @creative.starts

🚀 A super space adventure. 🚀 We are big fans of space and the moon here and after all the shooting stars at the weekend, it felt like the perfect opportunity to pull out our space books and have a little space adventure! #sensoryplay #playtray #moon #space #spaceactivities #stem #stemeducation #primaryteacher #literacythroughplay by @creative.starts

Happy Sunday! 🐛The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛 was extra hungry today and helped pass a very wet morning. Watch to the end and see if you can spot our little mishap! 🤣💦🥰 #literacythroughplay #finemotorskills #messyplay #playtray #explore #play #create #earlyyears #sensoryplay #sensoryactivity #toddleractivities #tufftrayideas by @creative.starts

Got a little nook inside your door? Time to transform it into a book nook! ✨ 📚😍 This is easily my little guy’s favourite spot in his room now and mine too! ❤️

I adore our new ‘Storytime’ sign from @thecraftybuachaill. All the rest was my husband’s handiwork, I just made the coffee! 😆

We tried out the IKEA flisat light table hack at the weekend and it was an instant hit! 😍 All I needed to pick up were two of the Trofast lids and some cabinet lights (full supervision still needed). We already had our trusty Connetix and Tickit gem cubes and my little guy had hours of fun using them in a new way! 😍 Have you tried this yet? #ikeahack #ikeaflisat #toddlerplay #sensoryplay @connetix_tiles @ikeaie @tickit_education by @creative.starts

I think my favourite part of this was my little guy taking charge and picking out all the bits he wanted to include from the cupboard. No surprises that bugs and Superworm were top of the list! 😆❤️🪱

Included in the tray:
🌳 Tree stump, rocks, flowers and bugs from @discoveryplaytime (@yellow_door_education & Toobs)

🪱 Superworm and garden tools from Amazon

🌸 PlayTRAY from @inspiremyplay

🥕 Carrots which are used again and again from an old @lovevery.europe box

🪴 Fake grass cut to size and lots of kinetic sand for all that planting!

All our own purchases. ❤️

A little World Book Day appreciation post for the most overworked and underpaid members of the household. 🤣🥰 We have books everywhere here but these are definitely firm favourites and the repetition in each one means we all know them off by heart at this stage. 🥰 I’d love to hear what your childhood favs were or what books are on repeat in your home! #worldbookday #toddlerfavs #toddlerbooks #booklover #childrensbooks #bookstagram #bookstack by @creative.starts

🌼🌷MYSTERY BULBS 🌷🌼 This is a lovely way to spark interest in growing flowers and discuss seasonal changes at this time of the year.

I picked up four different pots of spring flowers from @supervalu_irl, took the labels off and assigned a different one to each group in my class before they bloomed. There was great excitement trying to brainstorm what they could be and predict which one their group might have.

They’ll take turns watering their flowers and keep an observational log in their SESE copies.

They were thrilled to find that three of the pots had bloomed over the weekend and we’re just patiently waiting for the tulips now. 🥰
