Ive truly been having a lot of fun coming out of my creative bag with styling myself for the @cltshooters meetups.

This fit feels kinda futuristic and a lil retro glam. It is a fully thrifted @goodwillsp fit with the accessories from Amazon.

Love these film captures by @filmphotography.exe 🤗 from the @cltshooters meet up.

I had an opportunity to play around and explore posing from the top of my head and shake off predictability. Lil by Lil im improving, although its said we are our own worst critic. Im just going by what im feeling and stretching myself further past that. It's honestly been so much fun.

Ive been challenging myself with styling. Finding inspiration in the small things and bringing it to life in a look.

This look was inspired by a conversation I observed with @_ebeja__ and @daisyangelheaven ,where Ebeja was talking about wearing mixed metals. And that's something I never do. It's either silver or gold for me.

But I had this really cool gold skirt from @goodwillsp
That i had no idea how to style! The conversation replayed in my mind, and I instantly knew my next move...put it with this silver and black top I had and to go crazy on accessories. I wanted to feel like im wearing too many accessories but actually have it work well for the look.

Mission accomplished!

The month of September 2026 wraps up 1 entire year of "Dressing for Joy"!🥳

Saying that what I got dressed in through this year changed my life may sound like an exaggeration to the average ear. Trust me, I would have been in disbelief a year ago if you told me I'd feel that way now.💯

When God gave me the instructions to "dress for joy" I had just encountered grief😓. He let me know that I needed to get dressed in whatever made me feel joyous even if I wasn't going anywhere.

Day after day, I got dressed... showing up for myself and walking in obedience through this simple act.

I started to notice something. 👀

Not overnight and not right away,
But slowly and steadily like a blossoming flower 🌼 i began to come back to life. The unexpected tearful moments that would overtake me like an up and down roller-coaster began to lessen, and I began to find pockets of contagious joy to feed off of not only through my clothes, but also in my life.

I started to get back to creating in many ways and found a new love for thrifting! My closet went from very muted items that I had for years 🙃 (because I hated clothes shopping), to now a closet that looks like a rainbow 🌈!

In one year I revamped my whole wardrobe via my favorite Charlotte Goodwill location @goodwillsp on a very small budget!

I no longer am battling what others might think about me when I put on something very colorful or slightly eccentric.

I dress for me and I now show up as my best self vs letting myself go.

1 year later,
God brought me from grief, to now walking with His glory and experiencing complete JOY. My heart is FULL of gratitude and praise 👏🏾 🙌🏾 🙏🏽 💓.

You'll never be behind, even if life tries to tell you that.

Your tears and trials we're never wasted. They created the fire for refinement to make you come forth shining as gold ✨️ 💛.

So even on the days when you wanna quit...
Know that the fire burns wildest just before a breakthrough.

A time was had at the @manifestclubnews event @noproof.clt . Shout out to @a.cadre and everyone who worked along side him to have an event where creatives of different backgrounds could collide.

@cltshooters was in the building with some cool digital cameras for sale, and had giveaway studio time for the winners of the photoshoot competition.

I met some awesome people and had a chance to do a shoot with my girl @daisy.taylor05 taken by none other than the hubs @rpmrtn_imagery 🔥.

Fun fact is that Rob didn't wanna do pictures where everyone else was taking them, so he brought lights outside the building and we used the taco truck to model next to. I admire the way he takes on a challenge, thinks on his feet, and comes up awesome set ups.

God IS way too good
connecting us with creative communities is such a blessing 🙌🏾.
