Three days ago, I was tagged under @paultomisin_ Honestly, one thing I hate to do in life is compete 😭—it makes me anxious. Besides that, I think it’s the fear of seeing how my local talent can’t compete with the rest of the world. But I told myself I couldn’t keep shying away from competition; the world itself requires you to compete every single day, even when you don’t want to.Making this video was quite challenging and took me outside of my comfort zone. I only had three days to think and act! 😂 Imagine walking barefoot and climbing rocks (thank God for the tripod I had in my hand; otherwise, people might have thought I’d lost my mind!) 😭One thing I have come to realize is that you have to get out of your comfort zone if you want to do great things, and I am so glad I did.If you are looking for a sign, this is it. On the 5th of July, I had the privilege of attending @greatmantakit listening party. I had such a good time, and the music was incredible. I loved how he took us through the journey and thought process behind each song. It made it so much easier to connect with the stories each one was telling.I spent the entire day editing this video. At some point, I started questioning myself and wondering if it was even worth it, but looking at it now... it absolutely was.Anyways, I heard the songs before all of you. 🙂‍↔️❤️I mentioned a few things in this video, but what’s one shocking thing you just found out about Greatman Takit? For me, it was the fact that I thought he was Igbo. And even on the days I assumed he was Yoruba, I never expected him to be from Kwara State.
