Today I mailed out my very first international custom art request! All the way to Alabama, over 10,000 miles from where I live in Singapore 🇸🇬🇺🇸

My 2nd commission piece!!! The brief I received was “stained glass illustration like your previous commission post” and “1 Chronicles 16:34”. I chose to illustrate the tides and the sun, to demonstrate the Lord’s unwavering faithfulness - it is God who controls the tides such that the waves don’t swallow the land, and commands the sun to rise and set without fail.

To the lovely friend who requested for this commission piece, thank you for following my account all these years and for always admiring my art. It means a lot and I’m really proud of how this piece turned out. I hope it brings joy and encouragement to you and your household 🤗

I’m also really happy to announce that I’m working on my 3rd custom request and have another two more commissions in the works. God is good! ‼️I’ve never done commissions before, much less 5 orders in the span of two weeks‼️

Please pray for my right eye though… once again, a dreadful stye has befallen my poor eyelid, and I am powering through all the commissions with a red eye, lots of eye drops, and many prayers by @creativecarrot_

My first commissioned piece! So much to thank God for. Wrapped up an extremely fulfilling internship today, and it was through a series of divine timings during my last week of work that I received this commission opportunity.

Through my farewell cards did some colleagues notice my calligraphy and lettering, and I was asked to do up a “colourful” “lighthouse” painting, with the central verse being Joshua 1:9, for a fellow Christian colleague who was ill. Didn’t want to accept the $ at first but the ladies were so gracious and so encouraging, and I am at last proud to announce that my art is finally going places!! (Haha)

Thank you ladies for this wonderful opportunity, and thank you Jesus for letting me be a salt and light. I did this piece after coming home from a longggg day at work, and would you believe it if I told you that this was my first draft.

To the lovely recipient, I hope it blesses you and may God’s healing be upon you. Amen.

So much gratitude to God for the internship that just concluded today and I could see His hand at work throughout - in the timing, opportunities, and interactions. To God be the glory ❤️ by @creativecarrot_

Our Saviour lives! The grave could not hold Him, death could not defeat Him, and what seemed like the end became the greatest victory in history. Because He lives, we have a hope that is alive, unshaken, and eternal.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Will you acknowledge Him as your Lord and Saviour? Thank You Jesus for the price You paid and for Your endless love.

The greatest story ever written... is still the greatest good news today.

As we approach Good Friday, we pause to remember the weight of the cross and the price that He paid.

"But God commendeth His love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" ~Romans 5:8

Funny story, as some of you may know, I have been SO SO busy over the past few weeks juggling multiple commitments despite being a little under the weather. Today, I had grand plans to start on some school-related courses upon returning home instead of resting since it was the weekend.

On my journey back, I opened the bible app and the verse of the day was Hebrews 4:10, "For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his."

I burst out laughing lol as I took it literally and thought that God was telling me to rest 😂

After reading into the fuller context, I now understand that the verse means to have faith and rest in God. We can rely on Him to carry us through, instead of leaning on our own strength (very relevant for me!!)

And so... I present a new watercolour piece. Instead of working, I decided to sit down to create today, and no regrets! I don't think I have ever lettered John 15:5? Don't worry, I will get the work done tomorrow 😂

Wrapping up #creativecarrotchristmas 2025 with a special Christmas Day FINALE: Origami! 🎄✨

I had so much fun doing this craft project with the amazing Iris @grenzlandbilder, and here’s my 16-sided tealight candle holder! Swipe to see her version!

Iris taught me this design after learning the original method from a lady in the Ore Mountains of Germany. These instructions can't be found anywhere else online.

John 8: 12 | "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life"

Today, we celebrate Jesus' birth, and His first coming to earth. We remember that He came to die on the cross for our sins, and in His Resurrection, we find hope. Now, He sits at the right hand of God and intercedes for us before God. Through our faith in Him will we find joy, peace, and hope

One day, He will come back to earth for the second time. Will you be ready? And how will you prepare your hearts for His coming?

And with that, #creativecarrotchristmas 2025 comes to a close. This has been yet another phenomenal campaign with so many talented collaborators and stunning artworks. As usual, I could see God work in various ways over the past 7 days.

Thoroughly enjoyed myself this year and a little sad that the campaign was over in the blink of an eye lol. I would like to thank all my collaborators again for joining me in the campaign's 4th iteration @vida.doce.art

It's Christmas Eve with #creativecarrotchristmas 2025! Today's collaborator is a very dear artist friend of mine, Donna @joyfullyrendered! I really admire her talent, love for God, and love for our Christian artist community #HopeTogether 😉 Swipe to see her lovely artwork and check out her account too.

Today's prompt is special: we selected two identical verses, one from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament.

Donna's verse in Isaiah 9:2 speaks to this prophetic promise: "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned"

While mine from Matthew 4:16 echoes this prophecy in its fulfilment: "The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned."

Blessed Christmas Eve to all. May the Light guide you and reveal the true meaning of this festive season
