Today my mom joined me to celebrate my kindergarteners’ graduation day. The kids always love having Mrs. Rosa in the classroom, and we’re so grateful for all of her beautiful window art and monthly decorations.

It means so much to have my mom come into my classroom and be part of these moments. I’m especially thankful for all the hours she spends helping me and supporting my students—it truly helps make this year so special 💛 by @creativeclassroomvibes

✨One box of foil + 20 kids = pure creative magic!✨

My Grade 3/4 students explored the art of Alberto Giacometti, then brought their own action figures to life using only aluminum foil and string.

This project was a perfect combo of art history, form, and fun — and the results speak for themselves!

🌎🎨 Barbara Reid-Inspired Maps of Canada! 🇨🇦

This project was a perfect blend of art, literacy, and social studies! We explored the incredible work of Barbara Reid, studied her plasticine techniques, and read her books to see how she brings illustrations to life. Then, we applied those skills to create our own textured maps of Canada!

Not only did my students showcase their artistic talents, but they also deepened their understanding of Canada’s provinces and territories. Seeing them bring geography to life through plasticine was so rewarding!

🏂 Snowboard Art Project Alert! 🏂

This was such a fun (and creative!) winter-themed activity:
❄️ Step 1: Students designed their own unique snowboard graphics on paper.
❄️ Step 2: We cut large pieces of cardboard into snowboard shapes.
❄️ Step 3: Students brought their designs to life by painting directly onto the boards.
❄️ Step 4: To display their work, we added stakes to the back so the boards could stand tall.

The creativity and effort they put into this project blew me away! From fiery designs to festive gingerbread men, every snowboard tells a story.
