Do you set new year goals?

Personally I like to go in with ✨intentions✨ over goals. Things I want to wake up each day and strive for but sometimes life happens and each day looks different and that’s okay.

I’m sharing bits of my motherhood journey and ideas I do with my kids that are realistic and simple for me while also being beneficial and fun for them.

I mean, who knew that @playdoh and some eyeballs from the @dollartree would be SO fun?! 👻

Not only did we have a blast making “eyeball towers” 🤣 but she also worked on
👉🏼 problem solving
👉🏼 critical thinking
👉🏼 balance and coordination
👉🏼 fine motor skills
👉🏼 cause and effect

And THAT is why I love play-based learning 🎃

Easiest set up & you can leave it up for daysss 👻

I love a good sensory bag and so do my kids! Just add hair gel and some pony beads. Tape it up over a page with an activity and let them play! 🌈

You could do colors, counting, addition, or just sensory play. Have fun!

I know I’ll never regret making a keepsake 🥹

Here’s how we did these:
1️⃣ Roll out some @crayola air dry clay and press hand firmly into it
2️⃣ Cut out the shape you want. Dip your finger in water to smooth out edges. If you want to stamp anything, this is the time to do it.
3️⃣ Let dry until it is totally white. Our took about 2 to 3 days.
4️⃣ Paint with acrylic paint - we love @applebarrelcrafts! Let dry.
5️⃣ To seal it, you can either use Mod Podge or this UV resin kit is super affordable!

Enjoy those little hands and toes for years to come 👻🎃

Fall activities don’t need to be overwhelming, take a ton of expensive ingredients, or honestly take a ton of your time 🙃

Grab a can of pumpkin, add some cornstarch, add some pumpkin pie spice if you’re feeling crazy and wanted to smell good. And boom. 💥 you have your own taste, safe pumpkin play dough! 👏🏼

Taste-safe toddler Tuesday; episode 2 🤪

What is it and why am I doing this series?!
1️⃣ A series I’ll be sharing every other Tuesday of simple sensory play that is TASTE SAFE for those little toddlers
2️⃣ Because toddlers, duh 🤣
👉🏼My littlest love is 15 months and ours everythinggggg in her mouth (iykyk)
👉🏼There are so many fun activities online but lots of them are NOT meant for little ones who still eat everything 🫠
👉🏼Starting activities young is a great way to introduce them
👉🏼Toddlers learn best through their SENSES. Touching, tasting, smelling, you name it

So welcome to week two! We made AQUAFABA by whisking up the liquid from a can of chick peas!! 👏🏼

Aaaand if you’re wondering “okay, now what to do with the chick peas?!”
Three of my favorites are:
👉🏼 chick peas blondies (my kids love these)
👉🏼 easy Mediterranean chick peas salad with cucumbers, olives, tomatoes, and onion
👉🏼 hummus
