CONTENT BABY CONTENT!

Today’s patch is inspired by @alisha @mrsremiashten and @prettybasicofficial on an episode in 2018 quoting content, baby, content. I unironically now say this a lot, and honestly, this is my favourite patch thus far!

The moss stitch is an awesome technique of interchanging purl and knit stitches to make a more rigid, yet still flowy piece of knitwear. I love how this looks and how I’ll be easily able to stitch this amongst the other patches to make sure not every patch is overwhelming. taken in Wanaka, New Zealand by @creativefunknz

Today I tried my most ambitious patch yet, multiple colours, lots of changes and a whole lot of ends to weave in. Not great technique wise, but I do think it looks most like his coat and is such a cute inclusion in the patch pant series. taken in New Zealand by @creativefunknz

I will confidently say this was the first fail patch of the series. It doesn’t look at all like what it’s meant to represent, but maybe once stitched next to other patches it will look like mountains? I did manage to work on my colourwork a lot during this patch though and I think I’m getting a lot better at switching colours! taken in Roys Peak by @creativefunknz

Day 4 of knitting patches to make the coolest pair of pants that incorporates all my hobbies, and tries out new knit techniques!

Today’s patch is attempting the bubble stitch, and if you haven’t seen this technique before you would think it’s quite ugly. But trust, usually it looks way better! I’ve seen people make strawberries using it which is super cute. I think my fault was not only it being a patch, but this unflattering colour 😂 taken in Lake Hāwea by @creativefunknz

Day 3 of knitting patches to make the coolest pair of pants that incorporates all my hobbies, and tries out new knit techniques!

Today’s patch is a simple stockinette stitch, but holding two seperate strands of yarn to make a more interesting patch. This isn’t something I had done before when I originally filmed this, and I absolutely love the look it gives. I also think some of these more plain patches will really add to the overall look of the pants as to break up the clutter a slight bit. taken in New Zealand by @creativefunknz

Today’s patch is a @minecraft creeper! I love Minecraft, and let’s be honest, the creepers are hella annoying in the game, but they are such an iconic part of minecraft that I had to put them into patch form. This was my first attempt at colourwork knitting, and using @stitchfiddle to make a chart, but I think if you ignore a few errors along the way, I actually done a good job! taken in New Zealand by @creativefunknz

Today’s patch is a checkerboard, or basket weave design and I actually still really like it. I think this could make such an interesting pattern for a wearable garment. Definitely something I want to look into more now 🧐 taken in Wanaka, New Zealand by @creativefunknz
