Five years ago I shared the dream of growing mango trees to someone close. They laughed and said dismissively 'do you know how long they take to grow - you should stick to something easier'. I planted the seeds anyway and over the years tended them. One year the tree was full of flowers then they all dropped off. Last year one Mango was on the tree and the day before i got to pick it a monkey got it.

This is my first harvest 18 mangos - they are Pier Louis Mangos also known as Pawi.

Be mindful who you share your dreams to, not everyone shares your vision or knows how you would get there based on their own limitations. I am on an amazing creative and horticultural adventure, and I know that there are many on adventures of their own and I cheer you on.

These mangos and working in the garden remind me not to give up - dream big, it is hard work, sometimes the journey takes longer than we realise, there will be obstacles, naysayers and even disappointment along the way but things are happening, growing, moving even when you can't see it, or understand. I stand today proud of this achievement and many more to come 🥰😍
