I was so happy to be in California recently to celebrate the final National Choreographer’s Initiative. What a night! I LOVED choreographing for @ncidance in 2024. It was such an honor! My memories of my time there, both in and out of the studio, are ones that I will remember forever!
.
In this studio footage from NCI ‘24, I was testing different pieces of music, and I got the idea to try creating contemporary ballet movement to music by Juan Luis Guerra, which I listened to when I was growing up. Iori Araya of @balletmemphis and Nathan Young of @grapidsballet ran with it and my eyes teared up a bit seeing them dance so beautifully. Thank you very much to Molly Lynch, the Artistic Director of NCI for creating such a special platform for artists to create, experiment, and share their voices through ballet. 🩰🌴💕 by @creativelifenyc

Feeling on top of the world as a creator of dance. ☺️🏙️🩰 I was so honored to attend the inaugural Creators in Dance Summit this past Sunday. I’m still floating after connecting with so many colleagues and making some new friends. A special thank you to @troymacher and @balletcollective for making it possible for dance makers to come together and create community!

Vermont + @continuumballet =🌳🩰🍁☀️🎉 #tbt to an end-of-summer/early fall tour to Vermont State University. It was an honor to return to share work and perform for the students and the community. Also, it was such a treat to stay on the lake and take a moment to enjoy nature. 💚

Love these photos taken during dress rehearsal for the Ballet on the Beach Dance Festival, which took place this past weekend! A special commission to create a ballet about seaweed turned out to be quite a rewarding creative experience. I learned so much— thank you to Dr. Madhumi Mitra for sharing your knowledge with me. Nature is endlessly inspiring! And thank you to the brilliant @continuumballet artists who brought the piece to life! 🩰🌊🐚
