Sometimes it bee like dat! Three months now without getting stung by bees…so here’s some of the most spicy stings I have had from my favorites album, most from my girls 🐝 in the Dominican Republic and a couple from when I was working as a beekeeper in Hawaii. For me, getting stung is a gift. The honeybee, Apis Mellifera, knows that when she stings she will die. Therefore, she will only sting if she really has to. Sometimes I wear a veil to cover my face when I work with bees, but sometimes I don’t. Sometimes even if I have a veil on, one bee might get up under it and if I have both hands full working and holding comb, etc I am not able to try to get her out, so stings happen either way! For me, I really only get swollen when I get stung on my eyes. Imagine me going to surf, paddling out into the line up with a fat eye like this 😂. Anyways, I hope these photos make you laugh and try to remember that a sting is a blessing because the honey bee venom is loaded with lots of good amazing super powers. So if she stings you in a certain spot, maybe you needed it there! Mic drop! Bless da bees, nature knows best

Jamaica!!! Yoooo you know how stoked I was to get some waves in the land of sweet reggae music, ackee, ital food. Big bless. The fruits of life. Spent most of February in Jamaica for reggae month. Big scores on the reggae music & some waves too! Billy Mystic got these surf photos, he was out shooting his grandsons and to my surprise got a couple of me too, very grateful. I rented this board from Billy and I remember him saying that the fins hum when you take a wave, I didn’t really know what he meant but when I took the first wave mannn the fins were humming like three lil birds! First time for hear the fins sing like that! Anyways, Reggae music is the most high. Bees and Bones, a love story 🌼

I’ve shared so many special memories with friends and family over the years with the bees, the land. I am so grateful. Thank you 🐝. The past couple years have been hard for the bees, changing weather patterns, heavy rains much later in the year than usual. But they are so strong and they do so much for us and for the planet. Show some love to the next lil bee that you see! Big up that little gurl, she carryin the world! 🌎
