I’ve been wanting to romanticize my everyday life a little more lately.

I tend to plan my days around work and end up spending most of my time at home and feeling exhausted at the end of the day. But whenever I take my laptop to a café, go for a walk or randomly stop somewhere I wouldn’t usually go, I realize how much those little things can change my day.

Today, I went to the library after working at the café instead of just heading straight home.

And somehow I came home feeling like I’d actually experienced my day, feeling more relaxed, noticing new shops I wanna visit next time along the way, little details I found beautiful to film 🙂‍↔️🫶🏼

I think I need more of that. Less planning every minute of my day and more room to just be, explore and actually enjoying every day a little bit. by @creativesbyellen

September throwback to when I tried to record a birthday message for my long-distance bestie because I couldn’t be there in person. (I didn’t want to cry because I wanted that to be a funny cute video and also planned other content to film afterwards but I couldn’t hold myself back🤣) I can tell I had a very emotional september. Besties are not supposed to live separate 😭

I spent so much time thinking about the kind of content I wanted to create that I sometimes forgot to actually create it.

Waiting for the right setup, better ideas or more confidence doesn’t really get you anywhere. You figure things out by trying, making mistakes and finding your own style along the way.

I put together the B-roll shots I use all the time. Now I have a few go-to shots I can literally use for almost any video — whether I’m filming at home, in a café, outside or just going about my day.

Save this for the next time you’re filming.

Sometimes I catch myself thinking about what I could do just to have something interesting to film.

But I don’t want to build a life just for content.

I want to actually enjoy the life I’m documenting, try things because I genuinely want to, and figure out what kind of life I actually want for myself.

Still figuring it out, but I’m taking you along for the ride.

Sometimes I already know exactly what I want a video to sound like, but I can’t find the right song.

Creating my own soundtrack saves me so much time and lets me give my videos a more personal touch.
