Want to improve your 3D topology? Here are 3 golden rules you should NEVER ignore!

Rule 1 – Use Quads:
Always model with quads, not triangles or n-gons. Quads deform better during animation and give you cleaner subdivisions.

Rule 2 – Follow the Flow:
Follow the anatomy flow. Your edge loops should follow the natural curves of the body — especially around joints like elbows, eyes and mouth.

Rule 3 – Keep It Clean:
Keep it clean and simple. Avoid unnecessary edges. Good topology is not about complexity — it’s about structure.
