When I first quit my job to do Muay Thai in Thailand in 2023 the plan was always to return to my corporate career back in London. Only at the end of that trip I started to question everything. Life in SE Asia was slower, more intentional. I realised how fried my nervous system was working in London just from commuting and the stress of work. In Asia I felt like I was actually living. I spent time in Saigon, Vietnam for a bit where my parents were born and I met people like myself who were of Viet heritage who also moved to Vietnam and I felt inspired. Coming back to London I felt like the cost of living was super expensive, all of my friends weren’t as sociable anymore and settling down with their significant others, starting their families and life started to feel… different. I felt… isolated. So my one overriding goal from 2023 until now is to make income online no matter what and base myself out of SE Asia. It hasn’t been easy so far but I know I can get there. by @creatortaf

People talk.
Let them.
Go where you need to go.
Do what you need to do.
Dream big, be delusional.
Live life the way it’s supposed to.
This is a space for the audacious and greedy. by @creatortaf

In tech UGC you hear of retainer or base rate and you also hear of CPM. Most of the time, all of the videos you create will have a CPM incentive, but I just happened to come across 2 brands who start off with CPM only and only offer certain creators a retainer or base rate deal after they’ve proved themselves.

It can be good for some creators but I’d rather put the time and effort finding brands that offer a base rate/retainer from the get go to have that stability. by @creatortaf

Life is for living, experiencing, experimenting and making dumb mistakes and learning from it.
Every moment is a blessing, sometimes we need to stop thinking and planning so much and get out there and get out there in this messy beautiful world. by @creatortaf

For landing UGC deals, people either talk about pitching to brands directly via email, dms etc or signing up to platforms. As a beginner myself, I’m going to focus more on platforms for the next few weeks to see how it goes. Obviously I am limited because a lot of brands don’t ship to SE Asia but I also want to see what works. by @creatortaf
