This is my final post of 2025. I’m not sure what to do with this account moving forward. It seems entirely pointless to continue posting my visual art and self-portraits here. The time investment is not worth the pathetic engagement I receive, though I sincerely appreciate all of you who have stuck around all these years. Instagram TRULY sucks now.

Here is a carousel of my favorite creative self-portraits spanning 6 years (2018-2025). When I first started making these, I really had no idea what I was doing. I still don’t. Experimentation and play are the keys to a lasting love affair with your creative projects. Burnout comes when we place expectations on the work that goes beyond the creative process itself. Stop doing that. Fall in love with the PROCESS once again.

Lately...

I released a new EP for my solo project @scara_escape_artist last week called "Orange Moon". This was the culmination of several months of composing, recording, mixing, and mastering. I do all of these things myself because I trust literally no one and I need control.

Most people who don’t know me very well assume I’m a liberal. I am not. I am an anarchist - intellectually, philosophically, and in my disposition toward government. The number of people who share this disposition increases by the day, but most simply don't know it has a name.

~A carousel of suspicious haunts~

I am slowly getting orders together for my self-published poetry collection. Don’t worry if you have not been contacted yet, I am going to have a big official release later this year.

Is this message a reflection on society, capitalism, the horror of the human experience in general? So many questions. In general, though, I do agree…whatever is happening, you’re next.

In waves…

I’m almost fully recovered now from a massive flair-up of my GI illness that occurred back in March, but I recently learned that I have a new mold infection in my gut. Fun.

Chronic illness drains the body, mind, and spirit like almost nothing else can. Worship your health NOW, because one day it will wave goodbye.

I am planning to release more music for my solo project @scara_escape_artist later this month.

Lately...

Creativity.

I have an incessant need to create. This has been argued to be the hallmark of any "true artist".

I also have an incessant need to experiment. This is, perhaps, the hallmark of madness.

My father died 12 years ago today. I've been reflecting on my own life and the many hells I have escaped since then. I guess we all have to find our own way out.
