Im almost 30 now, and I have a lot to reflect on 👀

Life has thrown me some curve balls with responsibilities that I didn’t expect to maneuver until maybe 30 years from now. Alas, we adapt. So Im reaching into my tool belt for the things that once helped me cope, relax, and find Joy during trying times. Painting is one of those tools.

So here is a Barn quilt I painted to represent Hope, abundance, prosperity, and a safe place for loved ones.

I had so many dreams, and never thought they would come true.

Silly me, how silly to think my dreams were too big. I had so many fields of interest, layers of curiosity, and still do. But I shrunk myself down, and convinced myself that only some of my dreams were “realistic”. So naturally I went with the dream of being a therapist. I spent almost 4 years as a behavioral therapist for kids on the spectrum and absolutely loved it. It was so rewarding and fulfilling, and I am so thankful for that time. Quietly though, my dream of being a Singer and Musician was reduced to a pilot light.

Hurricane Helene and Mikal’s presence was the massive push I needed to fully jump in and just trust that I had what it takes.

So here goes the Journey of @routeone_music and a long line of continued growth and expansion. Our first batch of songs will be released this winter! by @creatureofexpression

Our song “Wary of the Wind” 🌞 @routeone_music

Big changes have occurred in life over the last few years! With the hurricane hitting Asheville as hard as it did, life made a call and it was answered. Now we’re in New York performing in the Hudson Valley and working to record/share our music with you all. We would love the support 💛 So with 30+ songs on the way, if you want to check us out, stay tuned on our page for more music. 🤘🏼
