Missing Buttui a lil extra today❤️‍🩹

I’ve been trying to journal/write more about our experience, but the words seem to get stuck somewhere inside of me. It’s like what I experienced was so profound, and feels so much bigger than a lot of the things I’ve known and learned my whole life, and my (not so) little human vessel doesn’t quite have the capacity to hold or digest it all yet.

All I can say for now is; a most hearfelt masurak bagatta to the people, the land, the air, the water, the jungle, the trees, the rivers, the animals, the bugs and the fireflies of Buttui, to all that breathes, all that grows, all that is alive, and all that is inanimate (but still holds life within them) that lives there, too — you have made me feel the most alive, and now I don’t know how to exist post-you.

I’ll keep trying to reintegrate and recalibrate, and maybe journal when the feelings finally made its way up my throat or hands and form into coherent words and flow out of me. But until then, moile moile🩵 by @crescentia

where do i even begin😭 coming home is always the most wholesome time, this one made even more spesh with the crossover of friends from different backgrounds and walks of life, and meeting so many new people who genuinely, immediately felt like family.

to everyone who: came along, spent time and energy, sacrificed precious sleep hours, patiently entertained 10000 curious questions, yapped along and generously shared (thoughts, food, fun facts, etcetcetc), i cannot thank you enough.

i feel like my emotional bandwidth, brain library, capacity to love, mY WHOLE BEING!!! has once again been stretched to new limits, and ohhh how this strange privilege is both a blessing and a curse.

i initially thought the holiday ending meant closing the most beautiful-yet-shortlived chapter. but maybe it doesnt have to be. maybe it is just the beginning!!! and maybe that’s where i should begin lol!!!
