A magnificent and monstrous rhinoceros beetle. Our friend found this feller dead in their basement workshop, and we were able to cast it into solid bronze. Some of the details that came out are truly exceptional. I consider pieces like this to be treasures. The kind of shit I'm to be buried with to ensure my comfortable afterlife and enough coinage to cross the final river.

Recent jewelry/nails I've been loving.

The turquoise rings are new to my personal collection. The petite point ring is from an antique store and the large shadow box ring is from @fundamentalfinds_

Zuni ring on my ring finger is available (dm)

Cuff was a gift from my sister in law for my birthday. My SIL just opened an Etsy shop with other jewelry goodies - go check it out! https://acrossthemeridian.etsy.com

Nails are by Alissa @polishedbyalissa - she does such an amazing job! 💅 by @crestfallen_silver

Our first live jewelry show after over a decade making things together. Selling online has been a treat, so we can focus on making and not on sitting out in the sun all day. But we had fun and felt so supported and embraced by oit local community. Thanks to all of you who have always supported our art online, and for those who did so this weekend.

Assistants stealing a preliminary examination 🫡

Still in process and needs more cleanup is the general consensus.

Ooh, looks like it worked. The metal is still coated in a thin layer of investment(mold) powder. @crestfallen_silver is the queen at finishing pieces. I'm handing it off to her to bring it to life.

A snake that we found (dead) while hiking with friends. @crestfallen_silver immediately snatched it up for us to cast and showed it to me. My response was "who's pocket is that going in?", as we had two more miles to hike in the heat.
Well worth a smelly pocket to have a chance at a bronze cast snake. Fingers-crossed that it comes out well. Stay tuned!
