HIIIIII!!! 💘✨🩷🥰💞

I haven’t done one of these in a while, and i have some new friends on here, so I wanted to introduce myself!!

I’m Cris (or Crystal for long) - she/her - and I’m the artist behind Cris Cox Art! 🎨🖌️

I’ve been painting for most of my life (I’m 32, almost 33), but I’ve been doing commission and original art 🎉FULL TIME🎉 for about 1.5 years! And I never wanna look back.

A few things about me:

✨Whimsy or death, obviously 🌸💐🩷✨

✨ I’m based in NC, where I live with my husband, pup and 3 cats who are everything to me. I’m a HUGE animal lover, that’s why I love painting them so much! 🥰

✨Like I said, I’m in my early 30’s which does mean I’m a millineal. This also means I love an emoji and peace-signing in photos. It’s just the way it is.

✨I’m an October Libra ⚖️♎️ and I’m big on fairness, equality and I have a HIGH sense of justice and for what’s right for our people and planet. I do not play about it and I do post a lot about it, so if you are someone who doesn’t “do politics” or whatever, that’s weird and you’re following the wrong person.

✨ As for my art; everything is completely designed and produced by me!! My designs are all original, paintings are painted by hand, and all prints and stickers are produced, printed and packaged by me at home. Fuck AI 🥰 you will not find that slop here.

Thank you guys so much for being here and supporting my art business, it truly means the world to me and it helps me continue to live my dreams. ILYSMMMM and it’s so lovely to meet you 🥰🥹🩷✨ by @criscoxart

Reposting this design that I originally made for pride, but it becomes more relevant each day with every headline and with the endlessly growing list of those victimized by acts of violence against women, the queer community, POC, and the list goes on.

Regardless of your blood alcohol level, what you’re wearing, the color of your skin, you deserve joy and safety. A world where women can live freely and without fear of violence and danger shouldn’t be some distant, utopian hypothetical. It’s the bare minimum of an existence in our world but a finish line that never seems to get any closer. It’s a privilege men get to experience so inherently that it isn’t even a thought that occurs to them, other than when they are perpetuating violence against women.

A bare minimum that STILL is so unattainable to women, that when violence is committed against us we are not believed. And accountability is not taken, and justice is not given. Over, and over, and over again.

To Jane Doe, and the Jane Doe’s before you, and the Jane Doe’s to follow you; You deserve safety and joy, a full life without violence and trauma. What happened isn’t your fault. We see you and hear you, we are furious for you and we love you ❤️‍🩹 by @criscoxart

Living my life without a 9-5 and doing my dream job. Making art as my full time job has opened my life up in so many ways - I get to do more of what I love and see more of the people that I love. How lucky am I 😭
