Hi, I’m Cristina — the baker behind Risen Bakery 🤍

What started with a sourdough starter named Clarice in my kitchen slowly turned into something bigger than I imagined.

Risen Bakery is a small home micro-bakery where I bake organic sourdough bread and small-batch cookies for my local community.

Every loaf is naturally fermented, baked by hand, and made right here in my home kitchen.

I believe good bread brings people together, slows us down, and reminds us of the beauty of simple things.

And as I continue growing this little bakery, I keep coming back to the reminder in Romans 11:13 to “magnify my ministry.” What started as simply loving to bake has become an opportunity to serve people, create something beautiful, and hopefully let a little bit of His love find its way into every order. 🤎

Because maybe ministry doesn’t always look like a microphone or a platform. Sometimes it looks like using the gifts God gave you, opening your home, feeding people well, and loving the person right in front of you.

I have a 10-year-old. 🥹 And I don’t think I was prepared for how emotional those words would make me—or for how much you would change my life for the better.

God gives the very best gifts, and there is no greater gift in my life than the privilege of being your mother. He knit you together and formed you in my womb, but somehow, who He created you to be is even more beautiful and special than I ever could have imagined.

You have a heart with a capacity to love unlike anyone I’ve ever known. You carry such a beautiful sense of wonder, and the way you dream about your life and your future fills me with so much hope. Watching you become you has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

Ten years ago, God gave me you—and in so many ways, He gave me a whole new life, too.

I will never stop feeling like the most blessed woman in the world to have the privilege of being your Mommy.

Class of 2038 🥹✨💜

Nothing prepares you for the tears of joy that come from watching your child thrive.

Rumi’s Kindergarten graduation was such a beautiful blessing. From the shy little girl she was at the beginning of the year to confidently walking across that stage with poise and joy, it has been a privilege to witness her growth. She is becoming such a bold, kind, and spirited young lady, and I couldn’t be prouder.

I’m equally proud of both Stella and Rumi. This year they worked hard, learned important lessons, grew in knowledge and confidence, and continued to develop into the young women God created them to be—never losing sight of what matters most: Faith, Family, and Freedom.

These years are flying by, and my mama heart is trying to soak up every moment. Thank You, Jesus, for the gift of watching them grow.🥹💕
