Honored and deeply grateful to have created this commissioned piece for Cartier. 🌅 EL OCASO is a patchwork of moments and memories, paying tribute to those who have shaped us. Like the light that lingers after the sun has set, their legacy continues to shine, even in their absence.

EL OCASO is more than a tapestry; it’s a tribute to the cyclical nature of life. Like the sun setting in an unforgettable sky, each of its 372 crochet-woven pieces in silver, rose, and gold metal threads represents a unique and unrepeatable moment in time. No two sunsets are the same, and it is these singular moments that color our existence.

This piece was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Cartier’s iconic Trinity ring, a symbol of life’s most significant and enduring moments. With EL OCASO we wanted to reflect the connection between what has been and what is yet to come, intertwining tradition and the spirit of Colombian craftsmanship in every stitch.

Thank you, Cartier, for allowing us to be part of this remarkable milestone. It has been a true privilege and a joy to bring this beautiful creation to life. 🫶🏼 @tomasverdi

Our latest tapestry, commissioned by Cartier, was meticulously crafted over approximately 970 hours.

It features 372 crochet-woven pieces made from silver, rose gold, and gold-plated threads, elegantly intertwined with the warm hues of organic silk. This exquisite piece was proudly exhibited at Shanghai’s West Bund Art Center at the Trinity 100 exhibition.

~ This year it was 39, and I happened to be in one of my favorite waters with some of my favorite people. During the same days I happened to write a few of my own personal “life goals” due to an @ishajudd workshop I was doing that week… here I want to leave a few. It’s not new years, but I do feel I’m in a moment in my life in which I am so much more connected, loving, and clear about what I want, and mostly how I want to approach life to live in that state of inner freedom I’ve been pursuing for the past 15 years. It’s impressive how it doesn’t matter what happens on the outside, its how we feel, react and use whatever happens for our own personal grownth. That is true responsibility, and here are my own personal commitments that may feel obvious to some, but when these become real HABITS, there’s no stopping any of us. 🧜🏼‍♀️

1. VOLVER, VOLVER y VOLVER. Traerme siempre de vuelta a este momento, vivir cada día más en el cuerpo para poder genuinamente vivir en gratitud y volver a mi, sobretodo cuando la mente se va de paseo y me pierdo de lo que tengo en frente.
2. Enfocarme en la ABUNDANCIA. Mucho se habla de la abundancia material, poco de la abundancia INTERNA… y ni hablar de la abundancia del TIEMPO. Es nuestro mayor asset y vivir como si le faltaran horas al día, o sentir que nunca es suficiente… not helping.
3. LET GO : Sounds obvious, but to use everything that happens in life to LET THE F*k GO. 💥 boom baby. Apague y vámonos.

4. CONFIAR. Últimamente digo mucho que es fácil confiar cuando todo fluye… pero cuando no tenemos niiideaaaa de lo que puede pasar? Cuando sentimos miedo, y creemos que sabemos más que la vida misma? Ahiiiii está.
5. Amarme ahí.. igualito copy paste. Amarnos cuando todo fluye, cuando logramos nuestras metas y logros, cuando nos sentimos “bien” con nosotros…. Easy peasy. Pero cuando estamos down, tristes o inseguros? Ufff ahí está el verdadero amor incondicional…
6. Extensión de la anterior… soltar la exigencia y ser cada vez más suave y amorosa conmigo misma… y confiar cada vez más en QUÉ Y QUIÉN quiero poner mi energía.

7. Permitir. Es tan fácil pelearnos con nuestra realidad, y que tal si solo nos entregamos by @cristyvera
