A few highlights from our October 🍂🤎
It’s been a bit of a whirlwind month with lots going on, it seemed to have whooshed by ! In amongst the chaos we’ve enjoyed some of life’s little joys and pockets of calm too 🤎

Watch to the end to see our happy bouncing buddies 🐑 🐐 🐓 🍂

It’s all just a bunch of Hocus Pocus ✨ 🧙‍♀️

Our favourite home made Halloween decoration 📖

4 years ago my girls dressed as the witches from Hocus Pocus for Halloween and of course needed the spell book to go with it so we made this together using an old cook book . We love crafting and had so much fun making it, we love taking it back out every year ☺️

Angus and Arlo 🤍🖤

These boys are a huge part of our family , our big babies ! we started off with Angus who was 4 weeks when we got him, he was bottle fed, wore nappies and lived in our house for 2 months before we decided we needed to get him a pal to snuggle up with if we moved him out to the barn so along came Arlo , both very different personalities but have the sweetest nature

Happy Tuesday 🧡

We’ve had so much going on this week already, ups and downs and it’s only Tuesday😅
But I was lucky enough to spot these 3 moseying around in the field yesterday, I’ll never get over how lucky we are to have this on our door step 🤎🧡

A throw back to when we had some sand blasting done. When we moved in we knew we wanted to show some of the stone wall but we just couldn’t get the paint off ourselves , we tried all different ways but nothing worked so sand blasting was our final hope and it worked a treat !

Scotland is beautiful in all seasons 🧡🤎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Accompanied by my eldest and Mabel 🐶 we enjoyed a stunning walk at Loch Lee earlier this week, the views are breathtaking , highly recommended a visit if you have never been. We were so lucky the weather was kind to us which made it even better

Last night we managed to capture the northern lights on our door step! Me and my 16year old son standing in our pjs amazed by such a magical moment was my kind of Saturday night ! 🩷💜💚

When people ask me what’s it like having goats…Are they really as crazy as people say?

Yes … yes they are !! 😂😂

Full of fun and mischief, excellent escape artists, eat anything they can get their little hooves on and they love an audience! 🐐🩶 by @cross_cottage_

Ok so not a renovation post but another little project we’ve tackled lately and I thought he was too cute not to share !

Meet Emerald 💚

Our daughter Ruby is dying for her own real pony but we are just not at that stage yet so last month for her 11th birthday she asked for a home made wooden pony that she could tack up! And here he is ! She’s absolutely delighted with him!
Colin and my dad worked together to built him from scratch , I had the job of painting him (still to paint on his eyes) and our girls helped us with his mane and tail, a real team effort ! which I think just makes him extra special and something she can treasure 💚

When we came to view our cottage I still remember the selling agents face when I said I love it ! This is the one! I don’t think she expected that !

We had already been to visit 2 other properties that same day with the same agent, both larger houses, much less work needed, one was in a finished condition, one came with more land but we just didn’t get that feeling with those, and It’s all in the feeling😅

A part of the garden that we have been slowly working on over time , there’s a lot of hard work went into it already and not to mention the nettle stings and midgy bites😅 but I think we’re finally starting to see the vision coming to life … still a lot of raking and levelling out to do and then once the grass has grown we can attempt to build a wrap around bench 🙏🏻 💚
