end of september walk in the park. it's funny how the weather changes right after the equinox. autumn is an appropriate season right now for how i feel; it's been strange to leave iowa behind as the leaves do branches and start over again in the ground. i love the season of color and decay. i always pretended i was a fall baby, even though us virgos are really the last vestiges of summer.

Goodbye Iowa, I will always miss you. Sorry I never got around to making this post before. Tomorrow I’ll be 23 and when I got to this beautiful cursed state I was 17. Damn. I spent the years here in several gendered skins, blistered, made friends, lost friends, was a ho, fell in love, tried to do a lot of things to varying levels of success. I miss you all already, and I trust you’ll succeed in all your endeavors. This isn’t as eloquent as I wish it was, but I’m ready to start over somewhere new and just, you know, morph into another being, just as I did when I moved here. I’ve worn many faces. I can’t wait to see you again and hope that when we meet, we will have shifted the world a little bit more. Happy Labor Day. <3 taken in Iowa by @crosswired

finally developed and scanned these photos on expired film from summer 2025. it was the first time @nacymis @crosswired and @dustblackinkwell and i met in person. adam and joey mean the world to me and i am so grateful to have them both in my life. adam and i have this connection that is akin to an invisible thread that is always connecting us. we immediately felt a connection when we first started to talk to each other online. we share the same birthday, the same outlook, we are family. i am so honored to have him as my twin. the love he shares with joey is beautiful to witness and plain to see. i am incredibly thankful for every domino that fell that lead us all to each other ♡ taken in Richmond, Virginia by @crosswired

in the halloweenapalooza parking lot! before my septum piercing closed up. on accident. i've been enjoying doing the goth-femme fashion thing lately. my butch takes very lovely photographs of me. @dustttblack . i Do believe in parking lot propaganda. but only when we are propagating "hanging out." not parking. i never hung out, really, as a teenager. i have been enjoying catching up on my teenage years.

Tbh I wouldn't really have valued commencement at all if it wasn't for @adamshallperish and the cap he painted for me based on a screencap from bones and all (2022). Isn't it beautiful?? I am of course grateful for my family for being there for me, I just have been sitting with complicated feelings about graduating from an institution that has contributed our tuition money to the development of weapons of war.

The U of I is complicit in g e n o c i d e. The apathy at this school is absolutely insane, and it's meant that the few folks willing to protest have been the few repeatedly facing the heat from U I P D, and many have already graduated without new underclassmen being willing to challenge the school. I watched students at my alma mater (for my associate's degree), GWU, walk out of commencement this year, and feel an intense shame that nothing like this was organized, and that I didn't step up to do so, for our commencement. It did warm my heart seeing two other people wearing keffiyahs as they walked across the stage. Thank you for reminding me that there are people here who care. Anyway--the journey's not over. Free Palestine 🇵🇸
