Here’s a first look at my up coming Art Nouveau Series. I wanted to capture a moment that was endearing and a bit fleeting. I included a few progress photos. This was a somewhat unique approach and not my usual path to completing a painting. The isolation of elements in the Mucha style allows for easy color value adjustments. This was really fun. Rod Serling stands poised between reality and imagination, cigarette in hand and a knowing look in his eye. He invites you into a world where the ordinary takes a turn into the extraordinary. That vintage television glow, the doorway to unexplained places and unexpected places. The creator of the Twilight Zone as both storyteller and guide. #oils #rodserling #twilightzone #fineart by @crouch_arts

This is a commissioned piece that I am thrilled to share. The Attic Bride longs for her deceased husbands in the spirit world. Perhaps it’s been her in the eternal hallway with that familiar candelabra… this entire time? #hauntedmansion #hauntedbridespotted #disneyland #disneyfineart #oilpainting taken in Haunted Mansion , New Orleans Square by @crouch_arts

My life changed at 13, when I went to my first big concert. Kiss at the LA forum , the recording of Kiss Alive 2. I had the privilege of painting Ace Frehley a few years ago. He was a really wonderful fun loving easy going guy. This is him signing my original art of himself, he loved this piece , which was so flattering and humbling at the same time. It was a full circle moment for me. God bless you Spaceman. Thoughts this morning about the passing of Robert Redford. What a great humanitarian environmental champion. Thank you for legendary work in film. This is a painting I did a few years back of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid contemplating their first robbery in June of 1889. Coincidentally our ‘Gold Mountain Gallery’ in Telluride,Co. featuring Crouch Arts sold this original piece. The gallery resides in the old San Miguel Bank building where the original bank Heist took place. Combining the actors in their roles with the actual historical site I thought was a fun idea. #goldmountaingallery #telluride #telluridecolorado #croucharts #robertredford #oilpainting #butchcassidyandthesundancekid #butchcassidy taken in Telluride Historic District by @crouch_arts

Another Pirate for the gallery! Davey Jones spends his time with the wallowing souls of the deep. The keeper of the watery grave for eternity. Probably the darkest character of all the Pirates of the Caribbean films. The captain of the ghost ship ‘the Flying Dutchman’.
This is oils on canvas 24”x 48” this was a really fun one to do! #piratas #piratesofthecaribbean #disney #disneyfineart #daveyjones #daveyjoneslocker #oilpaintingsoncanvas #oils #oilpaintingoncanvas #art #art by @crouch_arts

Here a new piece I created based on my concept of Disneyland’s new bride that has recently appeared in the Haunted Mansion. The cat eyes here represent the new feline that has moved into the mansion as well. Has anyone seen her?
This also is the first time I’ve painted myself, or at least my character that I portray, one of the doomed bridegrooms. What a special week for Los Angeles. Along side the Dodgers winning the World Series, David Gilmour played three sold out shows at the Hollywood Bowl. I had to go back after being there the first night. Perhaps and arguably the most prolific and expressive guitarist alive today. This guys playing just takes you places. I’m thrilled to have bared witness! #davidgilmour #pinkfloyd @g0lsart @mikestricklin33 @the__bakerman by @crouch_arts

I’m reposting this piece I completed a little while back. Sad news about Dodgers legendary pitcher Fernando Valenzuela. He will be remembered for taking Los Angeles by storm with his stellar performances. Fernando mania was born culminating in a World Series Championship in 1981 against the New York Yankees. The last time these two teams met in the postseason 43 years ago. All of baseball and especially Dodgers fans will never forget the magic you brought to Americas favorite pastime. May God keep you Fernando. #dodgers #fernandomania #mlb #worldseries #worldserieschamps #newyorkyankees #losangeles #losangelesdodgers #fernandovalenzuela taken in Blue Heaven on Earth by @crouch_arts
