A night of live electronics at @scry_chapelle in New Paltz

Glockabelle ((live)) @glockabelle New York-based avant-garde musician and performance artist whose singular blend of art punk, synth-pop, experimental rock, and French pop is built around two Casio VL-Tones, glockenspiel, and her bilingual vocals. Drawing on classical piano, eccentric percussion, and an almost cartoonishly inventive approach to sound, she creates music that is playful, strange, virtuosic, and impossible to quite categorize. A longtime fixture of the experimental music world, she has performed across the U.S. and Europe, including Bonnaroo, and has opened for or collaborated with artists including The Fiery Furnaces, The Go! Team, Kaki King, and Lightning Bolt.

motiv-a is a New York-based DJ, producer, and dark electronic music curator who has been involved in the American underground music scene since 2009, working across sound, visual art, and live performance. Her sets move through techno, industrial, noise, EBM, electro, and other forms of dark electronic music. She has performed at New York institutions including Basement, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Trans-Pecos, and Elsewhere, as well as Berlin’s OHM, Säule, and Tresor, including a Herrensauna appearance at Tresor. She has been a longtime presence within NYC’s dark electronic community through series including Synthicide and Nothing Changes, and has also appeared with warehouse collectives Lost Souls Enterprises and VSSL in Los Angeles.

@Scrychappelle Tom and Amy Scry are the visionaries, business partners, and couple behind the alternative Hudson Valley staple, Scry Chapelle. Known for their signature “retail and raves” concept, they established the business in New York City in 2016 before relocating it upstate to New Paltz, New York. Marcia Bassett is a musician // artist based in NYC. Her work explores sound collage, improvisation, and audiovisual environments. She explores and connects uncharted realms filled with strange ideas and abstractions. She is the founder of Yew Recordings and is also known for her solo
work as Zaïmph, a project she initiated in 2005. She frequently collaborates with others, including Samara Lubelski, Chuck Bettis, Taralie Peterson, Ted Gordon, Thomas Dimuzio, and Ursula Scherrer.

Scott Helland is a Hudson Valley guitarist known as Guitarmy of One. With his Fender Acoustasonic Jazzmaster, he pivots from the guitar’s built-in acoustic/electric features and adorns and grounds the sound with loop pedals and electronic percussion. He is the co-founder and bassist of the legendary 80s Hardcore Punk band Deep Wound with J Mascis and Lou Barlow (Dinosaur jr) and also the guitarist of the Post-Punk duo Frenchy And The Punk.
