Crown is looking for one established independent stylist to join our West Village salon.

Founded in 2009, Crown is a queer woman-owned, two-chair salon created as a sustainable alternative to traditional commission-based spaces.

This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned stylist with an active clientele who values independence, professionalism, artistry, and a boutique, client-focused environment.

Monthly chair rental available 2–3 days/week. Available days are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

In memory of the incomparable Dolly Parton. 🤍

Dolly understood something we’ve always believed at Crown: your hair is yours to have fun with.

Big, blonde, teased, curled, piled high - and very often a fabulous wig - Dolly created a look that was unmistakably her own. She never seemed interested in toning herself down to suit anyone else’s idea of beauty or style. She knew what she liked, embraced it completely, and had a sense of humor about all of it.

That was part of her magic. The glamour was joyful, hair was bigger, and personality was bigger still.

Here’s to doing things your own way, having fun with your style, and never being afraid to take up a little more space.

Rest in peace, Dolly. You were truly one of a kind. 🤍
