In 2018 the Lord told me that I would be like a reservoir that women would draw from. In 2022, I became a Cosmetology Instructor and I began to see what God said in 2018. I have poured out so much of me in these 4 years to so many! Their lives were changed, my life has been changed. Some relationships evolved into more in which I have become Mom! Two of these young ladies graduated on Friday. From week 1 of school I became Mama to the point the incoming students thought they were my biological children. We have forged a bond that is eternal! So I just wanted to introduce to you all my 2 new daughters so when I talk about them you won’t be confused lol! Please congratulate Teraneka Major and Felicia Jackson on their completion of Cosmetology school at Kenneth Shuler! As I opened my Facebook app this evening this first post that appeared was a post saying RIP Jordan Willey and my heart just ached. This young man entered my door at the age of 8 years old with his sweet grandmother. He wanted his hair detangled which was one big dreadlock and he didn’t want anything cut off. So Courtney LaRae and I spent 6 hours patiently detailing Jordan’s hair. From that moment until the age of about 17/18 Jordan didn’t want anyone else to touch his hair. He would antagonize his grandma until she got in touch with me for an appointment. As I watched him grow from that sweet little boy into a handsome young man that stood over me, he felt like one of my own. He was always respectful, grateful and the perfect gentleman. I thank God for allowing our paths to cross even if it was only for a short time. Take your rest young man. You made such an impression in 24 years that some can’t even say that they did the same in a lifetime! I just want to take a moment to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who made my birthday so special. Whether you called, texted, sent a Cash App, cooked me dinner, took me out to dinner, baked or bought me CAKES (yes i said cakes) or simply wished me a happy birthday—every gesture truly meant the world to me.

Hope everyone had an amazing Mother’s Day! I was supposed to post on yesterday but fell asleep wayyyy too early! I just wanted to acknowledge my girls and the efforts they made to ensure my day was special! (TAKE A LOOK BELOW AT MY GIFT!) 🫶 I love you Si and La!!! We had an amazing day and I’m so grateful for what God is doing in us! Sometimes we try to force old family traditions when all along God is trying to create new ones! Well in this new season, I’m learning to let HIM! Thank you Sierra and Makayla for honoring me!
