DIRE STRAIGHTS: “an idiom representing a very bad or difficult situation.” too many artists, let alone people i know are in distress rn, faced with an uncertain journey ahead that feels like an impossible climb. the first step towards salvation is typically the hardest to make in these situations. still we must remain solid + proceed, even in fear. it ain’t gotta be perfect it just gotta be done. see you at the top.

the @nba Finals reminded me I forgot to show yall a unique project I was a part for All Star Weekend 2026.

I was selected to join a distinguished team of directors, DPs, photographers + visual artists on behalf of @footlocker @nike @jumpman23 + @converse to showcase stories of what it’s truly means to be a fan of the game we all know + love. coming up for me, basketball was life. having the opportunity to be amongst + visually document some of the league’s greatest players definitely had my inner child spazzin out.

big salute to all the artists I got work alongside: ain’t got all yall IG handles but just know it’s all love.

last month i had the opportunity to visually document something unique to the culture.

the @crenshawmile is a one-mile run down Crenshaw Blvd. stretching from Slauson Ave. to Leimert Park, bringing together people from different walks of life to run under the same sun.

what i witnessed was nothing short of inspiring.
youth. elders. first timers. elite runners. whole families. all locking in, discovering or reminding themselves that their minds + bodies were capable of more than they imagined.

strongest thing i saw all day wasn’t speed, but people’s refusal to stop.

truly grateful to witness + capture the community pushing themselves forward across the finish line.
