As we take a break from work today here's a reminder: No one has your God-given fingerprint. God made you because you are a unique expression of His DNA with a specific mission that LITERALLY cannot be fulfilled by anyone else. The world needs what you have: your mind, gifts and personality.

So the question is: what is it that God has called you to create that you haven't stepped into? Have you chosen to follow the appropriate and attainable instead of your purpose? Don't settle for less. Don't labor in vain.

Not feeling creative? Here are some ways to create the space for your creative juices to keep flowing:

1/Keep a notebook next to your bed. Your faders (falling asleep, waking up) birth some of your best ideas.

2/ Pay attention to the inspiration you receive when you're driving alone and when you're in the shower. It's no coincidence that song writers get their best lyrics in the shower :-)

3/ Take the time to quiet your mind. Pause for 20 minutes each day and dream, call it your creative break. Be sure to write it all down.

What creative tribe do you identify with? It's #TribeTuesday and we're highlighting WRITERS today. A lot of people say they want to write but have a hard time starting. No matter what you're writing (article, book or blog), here are a few tips to get started or to keep going:
1/ Define your writing goals. Don't make it generic, define your audience and the mission and vision for your written work.
2/ Design a personalized plan for progress. Break your goal into smaller chunks of achievable goals. This could be daily or monthly plans.
3/ Cultivate a discipline of everyday writing. Creativity is a muscle you have to exercise.
4/ Find like-minded people, join or build a community. Don't try to go it alone, no matter how disciplined you are, there will be days where you need motivation from your #creativetribe.

If you have a story in your mind that you can't seem to forget, it's time to put it on paper. There's a story only YOU can tell, so get to it!

I hear this one all the time but i'm here to tell you...if you're wondering whether you're creative or not, YOU ARE! We’re all made in God’s image and He is the Creator, which means we all have the capacity to create inside of us.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
