This XDJ AZ from @alphathetaglobal really is the gift that keeps on giving. The more I play with this and utilise its features, the more I learn!! I had no idea @beatport streaming actually gave you access to the entire catalogue of music in there and not just your previous purchases!! 🤯 Yesterday I recorded my first TOP NUKG video using the AZ and I really had to build some new neural connections and will have to keep practicing to get them concreted in place but before with my Traktor Kontroller X1mk2s, sync meant Traktor would pull the tracks together and not just beat match the tempo, they’d correct the new track by beat matching and keeping the tracks in time. Great when you’re playing 6 tracks in under 2 minutes. But now, my skill is being further called upon to ensure I drop tracks dead on and quickly adjust via the jog wheel if need be. And honestly, I prefer that! It became too easy with Traktor. Not enough of a challenge. 💪🏼 🧑‍🎓 This is probably the best bit of equipment I’ve ever invested in. My one and only gripe mind you is there is no Pitch FX anymore. You can adjust pitch on each channel but you can’t apply pitch adjust to the microphone. So, future vids will all have my natural, unpitched down voice on them. 🤷🏼‍♂️ by @crucialtodd

I thought I’d give you a behind the scenes view on how I perform my weekly TOP NUKG Mini Mix as there’s quite a lot going on! 😵‍💫 The idea is to play 6 of the best of that week’s UKG releases in under two minutes. And that’s over 4 turntables. Of which you have to switch between decks 1 & 3 and 2 & 4. 🤯 Obviously there’s a lot of preparation that goes into this also.
