What's up, newbie?👋🏼

I'm so glad you're here. It's me, Flo - founder and currently one-woman show behind Crude Carnivore (besides the occasional assistance from my man + 4 crazy dogs).🙋🏽‍♀️

Thought I'd tell you a bit about me so you know who makes this golden goodness or "bone juice" as some call it.

I've been in the pet industry for going on 10 years and it all started with the crazy idea that I was going to spend 2 years of my life conducting dog food research.

Yup, they call that a Masters degree.👩🏼‍🎓

Working at a small, independent pet supply store with focus on nutrition and natural well-being of dogs and cats, I truly found that it wasn't really that easy to find a dog or cat that wasn't dehydrated or struggling of some sort of ailment (like itchy, dry skin, joint pain, digestive inflammation, etc) and most products are mass-produced and made with who knows what and God knows how.

So I created Crude. Where the mission is to provide a clean, grass-fed, super limited ingredient, carb-free bone broth that changes the way dogs and cats eat.🐾

I have arguments with myself almost daily about how I could should up more🙄

But I have to just remind myself what a privilege it even is to have my own business, that supports my family, allows me to be with my daughter and pets all day and go on walks at 10 am on a random Wednesday.

Compare that to fresh food, which can be 70%+ water. That gap matters — dogs and cats on an all-kibble diet often end up mildly, chronically under-hydrated, since most pets don’t fully make up the difference at the water bowl.

Over time, low moisture intake can mean more concentrated urine and extra work for the kidneys and urinary tract. It also can increase the inflammatory response in the body. The stains on the dog steps tell all 😅

Stone is notorious for getting food and broth stuck in his beard and wiping it on everything. So gross!
