Based on the movie A Dog’s Purpose, I can’t help but think about Cooper’s purpose. It truly amazes me how one dog could touch thousands of lives. He was loved by so many, and we are incredibly humbled by everyone who loved our sweet boy. Within seconds of posting updates, prayers would begin pouring in. Cooper singlehandedly showed so many of us the power of prayer and reminded us how deeply God loves each one of us — even His precious animals.

Thank you all for the love, support, prayers, and encouragement throughout Cooper’s illness and as he made his journey over the Rainbow Bridge. Your kindness carried us through some of the hardest moments of our lives.

Cooper will always be such a huge part of our story and will be forever loved and missed every single day. He was my soul dog and took a piece of my heart with him. I know I’ll never be the same, but that’s okay. Loving him was worth every tear, every prayer, and every moment.

I would do it all over again a million times if I could.

As I sit here remembering our sweet boy, I can’t help but think about all his name and journey represented -

COOPER: Christ Over Our Problems, Eternal Reward.

What a beautiful reminder for all of us. No matter what pain, grief, heartbreak, or struggles we face in this life, keep your eyes on Jesus. This world is temporary, but Heaven is forever. If Cooper’s journey taught us anything, it’s to love deeply, pray boldly, cherish every moment, and never lose hope.

Recap of Roamin’s 1st day:

He rode in the car like a perfect traveling boy! He slept on my arm, gave Randy and me tons of kisses, chewed on one of Cooper’s bones, and just smiled!

He was the best boy exploring the RV and all his new toys. He chewed on many of the bones and never destroyed any stuffies. Just seemed so happy to be here!

He went up and down the steps of the RV (inside and outside) like a pro! So easy and gently, not scared at all.

He’s not had any accidents! We’ve taken him out every 1-2 hours and he peed every time. It’s amazing!

He doesn’t pull on the leash!! We were prepared for him to not know how to walk on a leash. When we stop, he stops. He just follows our lead.

He is 5 months old, 37 lbs as of yesterday, and we believe he’s part Lab, part Husky - aka a Labsky. If you Google Labsky, you’ll see a bunch of dogs that look just like him.

He has one blue eye, and one brown eye. He also has some brown freckles on his ears. I’m sure there’s more in the mix than just Lab and Husky. We may do a DNA to see. All we know is that he’s adorable!

He’s such a happy boy. He loves to be near us and he is constantly smiling at us. He loves our attention and we love to give it to him. He lays down when he’s tired. He’s just so comfortable with us. It feels like he’s been here forever.

He’s already helping us heal so much. It sure seems like God and Cooper teamed up to find this perfect boy for us. There’s no denying that this was divine intervention for sure!

We don’t even have the words right now… but we owe it to our followers to share that we let Cooper go into the arms of Jesus last night.

To say we are devastated is an understatement. It came out of nowhere, and we weren’t ready. We would never be ready.

For the past 20 months, we have been praying that we would know when it was time. And we did… beyond a shadow of a doubt. Please trust us in that. We would never let our sweet boy suffer.

We find peace knowing we will see him again for eternity when we go home to Heaven. We know he was welcomed with open arms—by his angel brother Lucky and my Mom—waiting for him at the gates.

Our hearts are shattered into a million pieces. And somehow, we still have to go to work today because we’re in a contract. Please pray for us… we are an absolute mess.

I will share more soon. There is so much on my heart that I want to say to all of you. And my heart breaks for you too… because he wasn’t just ours. He was all of ours. He was so deeply loved, and I am so sorry to share this news.

Cooper… you were the best boy in the whole world. We are so proud of how strong you have been over these past 20 months. We are so thankful you told us when it was time. Thank you for the kisses goodbye—we will cherish them forever.

Thank you for every single memory. Our lives will never be the same without you. But we hold onto the promise that we will see you again… whole, healed, and running free.

I totally forgot to add to my earlier post that today marks 5 MONTHS since we adopted Roamin! 🎉❤️🐾

At just 10 months old, he’s already spent half his life with us. We may never know his whole story or how he ended up lost in the woods, but we do know this: he will spend the rest of his life loved, safe, and part of our family.

Roamin had no idea how broken our hearts were when he came into our lives. There were some awfully big paw prints here before him, but those were never his to fill. He gets to be his own sweet, silly self, and we love him for exactly who he is.

We miss our sweet Cooper every single day. And somehow, right alongside that grief, this boy keeps giving us reasons to smile, laugh, and make new memories.

Roamin has been Heaven-sent right from the start. Thank you, Jesus, for knowing we needed each other. Happy 5 months, sweet boy! Mom & Dad love you very much! ❤️😘 by @cruisingwithcooper

Happy FriYAY, Friends!! 🎉🎉🎉

We’re all smiles over here!! We are super happy to have only 1 week left of this contract and will be heading to Ohio to see lots of family and friends! We’ll be there until mid-January and I’m excited to meet everyone. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

I get so excited when Mom comes home! I know her car when I see it coming down the street. I just have to do zoomies!! 💨💨

We are not convinced that Roamin is not part Husky!! 🤣🤣

This is just a very TINY clip of how vocal Roamin is when he plays. I need to get more of it on video soon. His FAVORITE game of all is when Randy puts his hand on top of his head and he talks like CRAZY!! He loves to play bite with Randy and is usually gentle. As you can see from this video, he occasionally goes a little too far, as puppies do. 🤪

Hobby Lobby has all their Christmas stuff at 50% off!! 🎉🎉

Check out what Mom got me! She said I have to wait to have it though. Did you see the matching socks that Mom & I will wear?!!! 🤣

She even bought a new Christmas tree to put by the fireplace. I have a feeling this is going to be an AWESOME first Christmas with my Mom & Dad!!! I’m sure I’ll be seeing snow before then too!! I’m soooooo excited!!!! ❤️🎄🎅

Monday Memories of Cooper ❤️🌈🐾

I was going through my videos looking for beautiful places we’ve been, but honestly, these moments of just sitting and talking to Cooper are what I miss the most.

I hope these videos capture some of our special moments and let you know how very much he was loved. These videos, with their original audio, weren’t made to share on social media. I would silence the audio and play some music, but the audio is what truly lets you see our relationship. I was just a Mom who absolutely loved her sweet boy with all her heart. Now part of my heart is in Heaven. 💔

Happy Sunday Funday, Friends! We woke up to a terrible thunderstorm with lots of lightning. I wasn’t scared though since I was right in between Mom & Dad.

It finally stopped so I could go out and now I’m ready for a nap.

2 weeks from today and we’ll be pulling into our spot in Ohio! Woo hoo!!

Happy FriYAY, Friends!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Mom captured a little of my excitement this week when Daddy came home from work. I nap all day waiting so it’s playtime when Mom & Dad come home! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Mom will try to remember to capture my excitement when she comes home too. I talk A LOT and it makes her crack up! 😂

I love weekends because we get to go to the park, watch the football games together, play all day, and snuggle together too! I love being with my Mom & Dad so much!! ❤️
