When someone dies, it is hard. Death impacts us mentally, emotionally, and sometimes even physically. The truth is, grief looks different for everyone. No two people grieve the same, and no one should ever tell another person how they should grieve.

This weekend, I attended a homegoing celebration. As I sat there listening to the stories, the memories, and the heartfelt words shared, one thing became abundantly clear: this person was truly loved. Not just talked about—but genuinely loved. The lives they touched were evident in every testimony.

As I reflected on the service, I found myself asking some difficult but necessary questions.

What kind of legacy will I leave?

What kind of legacy will you leave?

How are we spending the dash between our birth and our death?

Are we truly living on purpose?

Are we doing what God has called us to do?

Are we making a meaningful impact in the lives of others?

Or are we simply existing?

Are we settling for less than God’s best?

Are we allowing fear, comfort, excuses, or procrastination to rob us of our purpose?

Life is a gift, but legacy is a choice. Every day we are writing the story people will remember. Every conversation, every act of kindness, every sacrifice, every opportunity to serve, forgive, love, and grow becomes part of that legacy.

May we live in such a way that when our time comes, people don’t just remember what we had—they remember how we made them feel, how we served, how we loved, and how faithfully we walked in our purpose.

So today, pause and ask yourself:

Stop being a bully!

Yes, you (if the shoe fit)!

Stop hiding behind phrases like, “I’m just asking,” “I’m just being honest,” or “God told me,” when what you’re really doing is intimidating, controlling, or tearing people down.

Bullying is not strength!
Bullying is not leadership!
Bullying is not accountability!
And it certainly is not love!

Bullies often try to dominate conversations, manipulate situations, embarrass others, or make people feel small so they can feel big. That’s not confidence!!!! that’s insecurity on display.

Many people who bully are carrying unresolved pain, trauma, rejection, fear, or childhood wounds. While those experiences may help explain the behavior, they do not excuse it. Healing is your responsibility.

Real strength protects! Real leaders empower!
Real love corrects with respect, humility, and compassion.

If your words consistently leave people feeling controlled, intimidated, or diminished, don’t justify it address it. Get help! Heal! Grow! Break the cycle!
People deserve to be treated with dignity, not dominated by your unresolved issues.
