Midnight at Tortuga weekend done.
.
We've known eachother for absolute ages but it all never gets old.
.
Was an absolute blast from a bunch of type A planners running into each other trying to setup, to almost suffocating from laughing over board games, to beating up Josh, to bunkbed jealousy, to treasure hunts and competitions, to midnight arcades and slotty pokemon, to peer pressure drinking questionable drinks and way too much food, to gossip and stories and forever indecision about music, to flipping each other off and the finer points of both olipops and really every topic ever because we all talk nonstop, to rain not ruining the day and mysterious spheres, to birds and bbq and floating in pools, gummy candy, limited sleep, and the best gifts.
.
Not once did I get tired of hearing, 'a pirates life for me,' from the front porch on loop.
.
And once again when you get a bunch of readers together we come up with just the best stories about the shows we see. (This time around the pirates at @piratedinnerca).

Ending every night with the Halloween movies I watched as a kid on Disney was 👌. And handing people mysteriously mixed drinks will forever be a favorite hobby.

Happy birthday Mads. Adore you to the moon and back but will forever continue to give you a hard time.

One group photo every time to prove everyone was physically in the same place at the same time.

Listen you get a bunch of ex theater kids to a pirate show we are gonna be LOUD. @piratedinnerca

And volunteer every time for every thing. And catcall the pirates. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ (and take over the pokemon gym when nobody was looking, sorry @piratedinnerca if it was your gym... sorta 👀)

Food prep mayhem had nothing on le bébé.

You had to be there for the moment he revealed the matching speedo underneath. 🤣

Went from a pirate costume to pajama party real fast thanks to the pool.

Tid bits of @professionaldisassociator birthday weekend but only tidbits. Too busy laughing to get as many pictures/videos of usual.

Way lots of food (not pictured birthday pie breakfast, Starbucks run, lunch and a show, shark coochie, candy, gummy rings @10am_automatica wouldn't eat, more candy, or the 7000 pounds of grilled everything @raregeckos made.

Jumbo editions of everything make things 10x funnier. Mostly cause you can't shuffle them.

Like at all.

Always need @books_n_shenanigans dancing no matter where we are.

Everything is forever BIRD.

Fighting Marie Antoinette who randomly appeared as a boss in the random horror carnival game I was obsessed with in the arcade was all fine and dandy but it was extra fine and extra dandy when her dress blew off and she was in full bondage harnesses because ???

🧍🏽 Just two dads at a bbq 🧍
.
Missed the first two @alt987fm pool parties but made it this year and don't plan to miss another! Plus @therejects were playing and they've been on my list to see forever and a day.
.
Were we going to be bbq dads at first? Nope. But luckily an outfit change was only around the corner and it all worked out.
.
Even got in the people soup for Gives You Hell which was a top concert moment and legit between the music, the stage, the lights, and the splashing it felt like something out of a movie. Samantha was even kind enough to get the most boob picture of me ever. 😂
.
The best part? They played Clothesline. 🥹🥹 It'd been stuck in my head all last week and even though I finally got to hear it live it remains stuck in my head.

I hadn't been to the Ren Faire since high school. I forgot how much fun it was. I had not forgotten how much the Puritans are my favorite group ever. And how much I miss theater.
.
Recently went gluten free which has been a pain and yesterday it really hit because I couldn't have a hand pie. 😭
.
Didn't drink nearly enough water, burnt my skin, got funny tan lines from my harness, inhaled way too much dust, my belt weighed like 10 pounds, survived off a single protein bar, and ended the day covered in a fine layer of dirt.
.
But there were mimic treasure chests, nerd love everywhere, so many costumes, a random masked man gave me a rose, and just good vibes all around.
.
Will absolutely do it all again every time.

🎡 My @emonite shirt got me so many things. Several high fives, a stranger's bottle of vodka in the middle of a crowd, endless dad level jokes, and even a prayer in the middle of the maze. I am gonna go ahead and say the shirt also got us enough luck to snag our bracelets for the Redbull Mirage which was a fantastic view of @officialfatboyslim and my first energy drink in any form since I was like 19?
🎡 Didn't do much solo wandering this year so didn't get a lot of pictures but in exchange I managed to walk away this year without any sunburn at all and just a mild case of Coachella Black Lung.
🎡 About 45 miles walked which is definitely not the most I've done here, the fields are huge.
🎡 Lights are pretty, and I really was serious about the clouds being amazing this year. The weather in general was 😘👌
🎡 I wasn't aware I needed Unicorn Happy Hour at the Starbucks House but how can you say no to that?
🎡 The best tasting anything all weekend was the matcha gelato from @innamoratagelato.
🎡 @mochakk had the best visuals during his set but the ' FKKN CAll ME' was my favorite.
🎡 I lost a good soldier when my pallette got tossed because I am a dummy and forgot the mirror in it. It was my emotional security pallette and had been to every festival or event with me for the last many years. So please, a moment of silence.
🎡 Made it a point to try every matcha we could find and @handlescoffee was my favorite. A+ to them.
🎡 Bieberchella was as amazing as I was expecting. Had to call @geminiibittch in the middle of the night to show her directly. 💖
🎡 I ended the weekend with one main realisation. The little pointy footed, no eyed, many fanged, sad, floating demon dude in the bunker for Radiohead Motion Picture House: Kid A Mnesia was, I regret to say, really really hot. I cannot explain why. I realize there is something wrong with me. 🤷‍♀️

Another Coachella down, third one with these little bunnies. 🥹

When you spend several days in a tent together you learn a few things about each other even if you've known each other for a long ass time, and life stuff in general and what-not.
.
🎡 Like we all have the old people hobby of cloud watching (to be fair it was a really pretty cloud weekend)
🎡 Jess is tall and puts things where we cannot reach
🎡 We did not reach the end of the 'same song on repeat' stress test
🎡 Alon didn't want pancakes 😒
🎡 Nadezda takes cute pictures
🎡 Apple crafts are fantastic, coconut water can crafts not so much
🎡 The Google photo booth decided we didn't need to look like us AND that I needed absolutely massive boobs
🎡 Jess and Nadezda are starting an electronic folk indie band and the album art is done, they just need some songs
🎡 You physically cannot have too many beverages at once
🎡 The view from the Redbull Mirage really was nice
🎡 I lose at Titty Chicken
🎡 You physically can and cannot have too much Spicy Pie in one weekend
🎡 Movies (or Euphoria season 3) on a hill are always adorable
🎡 Tiny Jesus was saved from the ground and got to join the car sing along, he approved
🎡 Wind defeated our campsite last time but not this time
🎡 If a puppet has a name it has to go home with someone

Romantasy Book Con year two done and then some. So so many books, could live forever and not get through my tbr at this point.

Fingers crossed we got Abigail Owen for our author tea service and we did 😍.

Had to pick teams between pissy wolf and indifferent wolf.

Cocktails, tea, and chips and guac as always but this year Vince's spaghetti was the star meal of pretty much every single day. (So sick of spaghetti now)
