Quando me ne andai di casa a 18 anni pensavo che l’aria fredda e la pioggia sarebbero state la mia salvezza fuori dal mio quartiere di periferia, purtroppo si rivelò la prima di tante scelte sbagliate che si fanno quando si è adolescenti.
Ora quel posto mi manca, desidero rivivere quei momenti, vorrei sentire ancora quel vento gelido risalire sulla schiena.
In queste immagini c’è tutto quello che non sono mai riuscito a dire prima.

When I left home at 18, I thought that the cold air and the rain would be my salvation from my suburban neighborhood, but it turned out to be the first of many wrong choices you make as a teenager.
Now I miss that place, I yearn to relive those moments, I wish I could feel that freezing wind climbing up my spine again.
In these photos there’s everything I couldn’t say before.

Document2 highs_lows

Dopo aver creato una prima raccolta visiva che
esplorasse il cambiamento radicale vissuto
nel 2023, ho continuato ad ampliare il mio
sguardo utilizzando tutti i mezzi fotografici
a mia disposizione.
Il risultato è il secondo capitolo di questo
visual diary, in cui confluiscono insicurezze,
sforzi e sacrifici che si compiono per
cercare di stare al mondo.
Il territorio che ci circonda diventa la
scenografia del nostro spettacolo.
Chi incontriamo per caso può trasformarsi
nel protagonista della nostra storia. Tutto
ciò che ci circonda può diventare un modo
per evadere dalla monotonia della vita
di tutti i giorni: bisogna solo imparare a
riconoscere ciò che vale la pena ricordare.
Il gesto fotografico, per me, è cambiato
adesso mi aiuta a interiorizzare quello che
accade intorno a me e mi accompagna,
nel tentativo di capire chi sono e chi sto
diventando.

After creating my first visual zine that
explored the radical changes I experienced
in 2023, I continued to broaden my outlook
by using every photographic medium at my
disposal.
This led to the second chapter of this visual
diary, where insecurities, struggles, and
sacrifices converge in an attempt to find a
way of existing in the world.
The landscape that surrounds us transforms
into the stage for our play. Those we meet
by chance can become the protagonists
of our story. Everything around us can
turn into a way to escape the monotony of
everyday life — we just need to learn how to
recognize what is truly worth remembering.
The photographic act itself has changed
for me: it now helps me internalize what
happens around me and it reflects on who
I am, and who I am becoming.

"i miss the rage"
an audiovisual attempt to explore how social media disrupts war-related content and distorts our perception of reality, blurring the line between what is true and what is fabricated in the current digital environment.

64 images datamoshed into a single loop. Sound design made with Ted Kaczynski "Industrial Society and Its Future" text translated to arabic and an 80's text to speech technology. Alongside audio encoding of several images using Audacity Rawdata feature.
