M’era Luna dump 🦇✨

No words (she says, as she proceeds to write more words). Such a surreal, incredible experience.

I remember my teenage self coming home from school, laying on her bed, watching It’s Black Friday’s and Psychara’s M’era Luna vlogs on YouTube and dreaming about going to this festival, seeing all these cool people irl, hearing all these cool bands live. A couple of years later I discovered Nachtmahr, fell in love with them and told myself that if I’m ever going to M’era Luna, they have to play there. Some more years passed, my 25th bday came up and I promised myself „I’m going to M’era Luna in 2026 for the sake of my 27th bday”.

Now guess what.

It’s 2026 and I finally got to experience my dream festival. 10 years of manifesting. Saw Nachtmahr there. Fangirled over stumbling across influencers I’ve known very well from videos I watched on YouTube in ~2017. Felt like a part of the community.

My 17yo self would’ve lost her mind. All I’ve got to say to her is: see, you fucker? Just hold on because some beautiful fucking experiences are ahead of you. Can’t believe I’m saying it but life IS worth living. Sometimes at least.

Huge, HUGE thankies to @itsblackfriday for making this dream come true. You do not realise how big it was for me. Not only winning a giveaway by my goth mother, the woman who raised the baby bat in me and had inspired me for years, but also being given a chance to walk through the grounds I’d never been to before but still knew my way around from all the vlogs I watched religiously. You’re my hero, I love you and I’m heartbroken I couldn’t meet you there but keeping my fingers crossed for the future!

And a big shoutout to my favourite grumpy baldie @vrolok_lavey for stepping out of the comfortable backstage crib with AC to hang out with me. Imma be a pain in the ass some more in October <3

And ofc, thank you to my amazing boyfriend who was generous enough to accompany me there. I’m glad you liked it, especially that it’s not your vibe at all. Thanks for a helping hand in putting up the tent (our first home). I love you to the moon and back even though you were a pain in the ass on Saturday🫶🏻

Life does feel beautiful when I’ve got my people around.

Reunions with these guys are always special and make me incredibly emotional.

They say „never meet your heroes” and I couldn’t disagree more.

Dear diary, I finally met THE Johnnie Guilbert.

I was about 15yo when I discovered him on YouTube through the one and only, infamous Bryan Stars. Then I found My Digital Escape, which played a huge part in my everyday life later on.
As an emo kid in a small town in eastern Poland, I was bullied in school throughout the years. I didn’t really feel understood, I didn’t really have friends who listened to the same kind of music as me or who got my vibe. So I was looking for it online. And when I discovered MDE, it literally changed my life. I knew that somewhere, at the very end of the world, there was a group of people basically my age who spoke the same language as me. I used to watch their videos every single day right after coming home from school, laughing my ass off, wishing I could be just like them - so cool, good looking, so funny. Don’t even get me started about how heartbroken I was when they broke up.

I knew my chances of meeting any of them were low, I was convinced I’d have to take a flight to the US to see them. And then, a plot twist - Johnnie Guilbert doing an EU tour, coming to not only my country but also to the city I happen to live in currently. Wow.
He’s always been my favourite, a huge inspiration. I even remember going to the hairdresser, showing his photos to the lady and asking for that specific haircut lol.

So yeah, just imagine how emotional it was for me to see him and even be able to chat with him for a bit. I think it proved my 16yo self and also my currently 26yo self that anything is possible, dreams really do come true and there’s always hope.

@idksobczuk again, I can’t even find the words to thank you for making this m&g possible but you know better than anyone else how huge this was for me. As I said before, I’ll never be able to pay it back to you. I love you.

And again, thank you @johnnieguilbert for letting me grow up with you and for being my safe space for so many years. I’m so proud of you. Never forget how special you are.

Remember when… after my trip to the UK in July I said „hopefully see you again in Autumn”? I made it!!!

So… we took a flight to Manchester for my boyfriend’s favourite artist’s gig. Seeing @secondhandjohn live was an ultimate emo experience. Michał bought his first ever VIP ticket for this special occasion, got a SIGNED CD that’s not being released anymore (such an artifact, huh) AND John gave him A SHOUTOUT from the stage TWO TIMES during the show!!! John was so stoked to hear that someone flew across countries to see him perform. That was so sweet.
But yeah, I remember when I started dating @meehowpazdan and he was constantly sending me a bunch of music recommendations, part of which were Secondhand Serenade songs, so this whole concert experience was a really emotional one for me. My favourite, most nostalgic song from that period is „I Hate This Song” and a couple of days before the gig I told Michał „do you think he really hates this song, so that he won’t play it? I hope he plays it because I don’t hate it, I actually love it very much” AND I COMPLETELY LOST IT WHEN HE ACTUALLY DID PLAY IT.

Also worth mentioning, John said that nowadays everyone thinks being emo is so cool and everyone wants to be emo so bad but back in the days we used to be bullied for it AND AT THE END OF THE DAY IT’S US WHO WERE THE FIRST IN THE SCENE. I may be way younger than him but I grew up in the emo scene back in 2010s, so I really felt that.

Manchester was amazing. Full of beautiful places, beautiful people, amazing food and Guinness. Can’t wait to go there again (hopefully in July because we’ve got another concert coming up there). I love the UK 🇬🇧🫶🏻
