i usually have the right words to say, but right now, i am too broken to write it all down the way you deserve. the last four years have been a gift, because we really were given more time with you than we imagined after hearing about your leukemia diagnosis. you fought so damn hard. and in those years since, you were able to be there for me in the most magical way: the birth of two girlies, who love their nonno immensely, despite only having such a short time in your presence.

you promised to walk me down the aisle, and you did. you held onto my little self while holding my two girls. and now i promise to never let them forget the amazing man you were to me and my siblings. you were and will always be my hero—my music and sports buddy; the one who always texted me after a big win.

no one will ever replace you. no one will fill the void that is left behind in my shattered heart. my daddy. my warrior. my EVERYTHING. you are the best human who ever loved me. the first dude who ever held my hand in this life and taught me what it means to be my genuine self…to dream big and love hard. to open my heart to the world, even after so much heartache and pain. you were so resilient and strong. but more than anything, you were so damn happy even after such an incredibly hard journey in this life.

thank you for holding on to see me become a mama to your beautiful granddaughters. i promise to remind them how much you loved each of us every single day.

three months of sabrina skye 🫶🏽 ari likes to call her our lil “chicken nuggie” 😂🥹

this past month has been a roller coaster. i spent four days in the hospital & never knew how much i would miss the sweet hunger cries. i’ll never take these precious moments of stillness & even the chaos with my spicy girlies for granted again.

anyhoo! sabri is such a peach. she almost sleeps through the night!! she’s been smiling & chatting (lots of “goo goo” convos lol), & today she giggled with me for the first time. i just love being a mama so damn much 💕
