I was so weak and feeble. What did Celine say in The Color People, I was so weak you could knock me over with a feather. One person said, “Well at least you got a boob job.” I’m like sweetheart, this is far from a boob job. My tissue was removed from out of my chest and I’ve done 16 rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, expanders... and much more. Those expanders felt like metal bricks in my chest for an entire year. (No Exaggeration) Pain on pain. Stress on stress. Alwhile being a brand new mother. No I never got to breast feed my baby boy...although he still tries to find milk some days. But I’m grateful because it could have and almost went another way, but God! I posted this video because I finally feel strong enough to tell my story. This too shall pass!!! This too shall pass!! When I was going through chemo, radiation, everyone kept telling me to tell my story. I wasn’t in the best place to tell my story considering I had a newborn at the time and my son is now only four years old. There were so many times where I felt overlooked, and forgotten by God, and as quiet as it’s kept I feel that way now. But I know God hides his glory. I’m in no competition to get glory for the world to know my story, however I believe that God will use my journey for the gospel to be preached. There was a time when I couldn’t even get out of the bed because the chemo tore my body up!!!! It was difficult being a mother, a new one at that, while my husband still had his needs. As someone who used to mime and praise dance, I understand the power of praise as a weapon through physical movement!!!
