🥳 Happy book birthday to Mostly Me! 🎉

This wonderful book came into fruition and debuted a year ago. In celebration of its first year out in the world, I created this short book trailer as a passion project. For those that don’t know, I also have a background in animation. This was a labor of love and such a treat to bring this special character and story to life on screen!

Find Mostly Me on Gloobooks, Amazon, and select shops. Remember to request it at your local bookstore or library for more diverse books in your area. 💙💚

Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat?🧜‍♀️🐚

I’ve always found enjoyment drawing mermaids and was inspired by an older illustration I made back in 2020. I decided to challenge myself by adding a 3D element to my coasters this year to find a way to bring that magical sparkle to each of them.

📆 @nucleusportland Show opens June 7th! (Available online after)

🖍️Materials
- Holbein acryla gouache
- Faber Castle colored pencil
- PanPastel
- Sculpy

🎨 Art supplies haul from Paris, France! 🇫🇷

I was so happy to check out both @sennelier1887 and @la_maison_du_pastel during my honeymoon to France. These were the supplies I got that I’m excited to try out for some personal pieces and studies of some of the beautiful scenery I saw during my time there.

Stay tuned for a travel sketchbook flip through and post!

Visiting the coast in Oregon has been a different experience from the San Diego beaches I grew up with. The rock formations and tall fir trees going right up to where the ocean meets land is breath taking. There’s a bit of mystery that lingers from the tree line but seeing the wet sand feels familiar and like home to me. 🌲🌊

Was inspired by a photo from my friend @juliaann_cone to do a study of this beautiful flower arrangement she made with her @heathceramics bud vase 🌷

Signs of spring are in full swing throughout Portland 🌸

Lately, I’ve been revisiting sketches on my iPad that I’ve abandoned for one reason or another. After some time away, I’m approaching them with a different perspective and it’s refreshing as I’m working on creating for myself again.
